I heard nothing but good things about the diamondback and it looks like you have a stainless steel barrel you're going to have to put at least 300 rounds through that barrel and the accuracy will tighten up 😎
Yeah you should be able to tighten up those groups to sub-moa you're shooting off a rickety table sitting in a rickety chair you're not shooting from a solid platform to check the rifles accuracy
With a bipod and without rear bag for better stability is not the best for testing that rifle. Avoid bipods. A backpack under the handguard, and a rear bag is the best method to test the one rifle accuracy. I think the DB10 could be give you better results with this tips. Anyways, it´s a good video.
I'm curious to see how your groups would change with different ammo. I have a RRA LAR-BT3 that shot alright with the exact same nosler ammo. I wouldn't say it hated it but you could tell it was okay at best. Switched over to just factory hornady eldx 143s and my groups got way tighter to where I felt this expensive rifle should be at as far as group sizing and predictability. Food for thought.
2 shot sighting in method bro is all you need. Take the first shot, put your corsshairs back on the bullseye then move only the crosshairs over to that first shot. Take a 2nd shot and it should be dead on.
Great video. Two things to be mindful of when shooting any AR platform are keep your hand high and tight in that pistol grip. Also slow is smooth and smooth is fast. Take your time with the release of that trigger. Don’t let it go of it after the shot. Control it on the way out and listen for that trigger to reset! Exaggerating it during dry fire helps, too. Holding it down for three seconds after the shot then slowly release. Also the “inconsistencies” that were tightening up there at the end I don’t think was majorly due to you, ammo or the gun. More so the fact of being cleaned between every round. Put 10 rounds 5 rounds through the barrel after a cleaning and the groups after are generally tighter than the first 5! How is it shooting for you after a while?
I bought one of these in .308 about six months ago. Bang for the buck, pretty decent rifle. I used a Caldwell lead sled dft 2 for zeroing. Thought it really helped with the groups. Switched to the bipod for regular shooting. The range I was at only had targets to 400, so didn’t get to test out the Vortex too much. Like you, I’d say anyone looking to get into the AR10 market without breaking the bank, the DB10 has some decent features that doesn’t need a lot of immediate upgrades. Fluted barrel, muzzle break, mlok handguard, and Magpul stock with QD points seem to be pretty standard on these. Your trigger seems to be an upgrade from the one I purchased (assuming it’s because of the 6.5 vs .308). Enjoyed the video.
An AR platform rifle in 6.5 creed sounds wonderful. I’m guessing these rifles are like unobtanium though. I’ve gotta talk with my local FFL about the chances of ordering one of these.
This is the worst sight/break in video ive seen.....no shit u cant hit consistently and pulled shots, your shooting off a $20 Walmart table without a back support till ur dumb ass turned the table
Okay, I love DB10, have one myself but... “I just bought it and had it shipped to my house.” Yeah...that’s an “oof”. The ATF would like to speak with you. Unless you’re not in America, I don’t know how you had the “shipped to the house”, without committing a felony. Overall nice video.
You ever have any loading issues with ballistic tips? I just got a 6.5 AR-10 and am wondering what rounds I should get for deer hunting. Haven’t shot it yet, but I just bought some of that deer season xp and I do not know if the tips are fragile when getting cycled through.
I happened to walk into my favorite gun store one morning on the way to the range about six months ago and they happened to put up two AR10s that morning. I went back home to get permission from my boss (the wife lol), and went back to get one. The other was already sold. Felt like I won the lottery :) It’s been a fun sporting rifle so far. Luckily for me, .308 ammo is a lot cheaper than 6.5, so I make good use of the 20 round mags.
I think you're sight in process could be aided with some bags instead of the bipod. The rifle's groups will probably shrink dramatically when its fully supported on bags.
