Hi my name is Shawn and I love filming and capturing this beautiful planet of ours with my GoPro and DJI drones. My channel features some of the camera gear I really enjoy and want to share. Every week I will be uploading new unboxings, reviews and tutorials for your GoPro and drones to help you get the most out of them. Tips and tricks that will help you capture beautiful cinematic drone videos as well as stunning time-lapses.
I just got my wife the creator combo DJI Osmo Pocket 3 and this video helped a ton. Thank you for this simple but yet insightful video. It remains the best introductory video about this device that I have seen till date.
Enjoyed the video very much. The point about the wider field of view should the eis be turned off is well taken. I have an ozmo actin cam so I'm a bit surprised that Hohem didn't offer more firmware and software updates so the unit could be paired with action cams other than gopro.
good video...I have an X3 and I want a second camera and was wondering if the X2 was any good...I think I'll get it instead of getting a second X3 because of the price...
Been trying to decide for 2 weeks now. I had a Mini 2 that I stupidly sold last year. Great Drone. Not the SE, the Mini 2. I like the Pro 4 but the price is high for me for me just using a Drone once in a while. Also, The Obstacle Avoidance is a great feature, but I will never use the "Follow Me" feature, and my issue would be mostly telephone wires since I live in Chicago. I would love the option to fly a little lower about Power Wire level, but no Drone can avoid all power wires so I still wouldn't trust the Obstacle Avoidance. The Mini 3 is a little too much money for the slight upgrades from a Mini 2. The Mini 3 Pro with the Fly More kit you might as well just spend another$150 and get the Mini 4 Pro that has 360 Obstacle Avoidance. I'm basically down to 2. A used Mini 2 or this new Mini 4k. Mini 2 will be Obsolete soon but is a great drone. The Mini 4k is nice and price is good but only thing that concerns me is when a product comes out and it's "Only available" at certain locations. Haven't look but will I be able to get extra parts, batteries, blades, controller if needed. One last thing I don't like seeing. These are called "Beginner Drones". Low features, and No Avoidance Systems. To me they should be considered "Advanced". It takes a lot of skill to fly a Drone with no Avoidance Systems in wooded areas or buildings. A Drone that can fly all by itself in "Cruse Control" mode don't need a lot of skill. The Mini 4k only thing I see from reviews is the videos are a little "Darker" than the Mini 2 was right from the Drone. What do you all thing? Used Mini 2 for around $300 or new Mini 4k?
Hello folks, I have a 7th gen iPad. I do like using it in landscape mode as I have a small keyboard etc. When I open Lightcut it's in Portrait Mode. I can't seem to figure out how to change it to Landscape. Any ideas?? Thanks in advance
I am 85 and just got my first drone the mini 3 . After watching your excellent tutorial I confidently went into the garden and had a very successful first flight. You are a gifted teacher thank you.
now im wondering the latency difference between goggles 2 vs goggles 3 when using the avata 2. i will test it but, spoiler alert, i think there wont be any noticable difference between o3 vs o4. especially in CE regulations.
I tried the camera, filming in my cockpit as I am a pilot. It shut off after 30 minutes and I didn't know it. When I turned it back on it said it shut down due to overheating. I did some trouble shooting with support with different settings. I let it run in my air conditioned home and the exterior of the camera got to 110 degrees. I returned it.
You say it's probably not the best day for this due to wind...you say you're not gonna really push...WTH was the purpose of this video other than a waste of internet bandwith sir?
This is a great update if own the older goggles and controllers, and you want to use them with the Avata 2. But will they ever allow the Goggles 3 to work with older drones and Air 3 units, if that is even possible. Great information Shawn, thanks for sharing.
so far from all the videos I watched your video gave me the best info on the drone. I ordered my drone it will be available for pick up in 2 days I'm excited and I'm trying to learn as much as possible before I get it because I want to fly it right away thank you
@@dylancleveland Thank you, Shawn. One more question: With Goggle 3 I cannot set H.265 when 4K/60 16:9 D-LogM? Do you know why it only records H.264? There is no setting anywhere to select H.265????
Hello Shawn, Nice video & thank you for the update regarding the new firmware release but I seem to be having an issue with both the fly app & the assistant 2, they both say that I'm on the current firmware which is version V01.00.200 & it was released on 4-13-2024. Is there anyway around this or what can I do? Thank you!
Have you heard about Insta360 asking people not to say a video is sponsored? iPhonedo is one channel who has made a video on this topic. I think this is really sad since Insta360 makes good products but now I don't trust them. Even worse I have to worry if a video I'm watching (featuring their camera) is an unreported sponsored video. I personally think this is bad enough that I will avoid their products in the future.
So... I actually find the "My FPV"-template super amazing with the electro music and flashing. I want to use it but If I can't find it in the app, what do I do?
I was hoping for backward compatibility to be released before forward compatibility using the older O3 hardware. This firmware allows you to fly new AV2 using older O3 tech. The newer O4 hardware (Goggles 3 and MC3) are superior to old. Making the O4 hw backward compatible with O3 would be more benefit, allowing everyone to fly their existing O3 drones (O3 air units) using the newer O4 hardware.
Trying to find how to connect the Mic 2 and record audio to Avata 2 flights, like you can do with the ‘Screen recording” by plugging/connecting a mike to the Mini 4 Pro screen recording…is that possible with Avata 2/Mic 2 connection?
Hopefully we can use the googles 2 with the RC2 and the Mini 4 pro, I would love to fly the mini 4 pro as Fpv, I know you can use the joystick controller but I can’t stand that thing, much prefer the rc2
