I have a 2009 F-150, first platinum editon and hope this remote works for my model year. For some reason this platinum edition seems to be different with theough many forums. But hope this unit works. Do you know if rhwy ship in canada? Is anyone in the chat from canada that ordered from them ? Thank you and great detailed video. Great sruff. Been wanting to install one since i bought the truck in 09. Habe a great day.
Why you guys tall on the video more than you should and why are you having a video of it on a narrow screen......really I get dizzy watching the video....
I saw this video and bought the system for my 2010 Ford Platinum. It installed just as this video walked through, no issues. I also wanted to be able to remote start from my phone so I bought the MyCar addition. Once I followed this video on how to setup the MyCar with the kit, it worked like a charm! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-AURKMXOcgN8.htmlsi=-18o-PB1q27Xqtsc I'd highly recommend this system to anyone thinking about adding remote start to their F150. It was relatively easy, even for me, and I'm thrilled with the results. Can't wait to continue using it!
i have a 97 obs im just curious is everything i need to do the install in the description or is there anything else i need to order in order for it to fit properly
The adapter you put as the link is not the same one you have. Can you please post a link of the exact adapter you have? I installed the one you linked and it's too short. Don't have clearance from the turn signal.
Thank you for doing this video. I watched this and bought one for my 2010 F-150. I was able to install it VERY easily because of your video in about 30 minutes with no problems. Thank you again.
How large in depth would you say that adapter is? After seeing your very helpful video I am starting to think my adapter will be too short and the wheel may hit my turn signal.
I’m not sure what the depth on the adapter is, the adapter number is A17 from forever sharp steering wheels, they might have the specs for it on their website
I have never measured the distance of how far it works but I’ve started the truck from 50-100 feet. It’ll work as long as your in the range of your key fob to lock the truck
1 key option on their website comes with a flashlink usb thumb drive. Procesures are a little different then presented here but it does work. I just installed mine with only 1 master key. The paerwork provided with the kit is detailed as can be. Fortin software is fairy user feiendly as well.
@@ecstaticxpose7782 yeah, it will be on the instructions. When you get to the dual key part you'll have to remove the device bring it to the laptop and use the flash drive. Instructions are well written.
I installed a grant steering wheel on my 05 Silverado. Only issue I had was I couldn't find a hub adapter for my year. I believe they don't make one. So I swapped my steering shaft spline for a 00 Silverado
