People want to say 6.4s are the problem when all thes teen are out here red lining it and trying to push it to its limits. like just caue you can make 550 horse power doesnnt mena you need to send it every day it just means your truck is a power house.

@@nativeoutdoors1780 Then I suppose you can't tell the difference between the frequencies then. A bad turbo bearing wont make it sound like a supercharger. I've had turbos on vehicles in my shop that make similar noises. Guess what? Bad turbo bearings or impeller damages alot of the time.

This is the engine bay of a 2017 Ford Fusion SE with the 1.5L Ecoboost engine, that has had the OEM intake replaced with a K&N cold air intake. The sound you are hearing is the whistle from the turbocharger, and the blowoff of unneeded charge air when the throttle is released.
Alex Lawson I love it, the turbo spool under light acceleration sounds amazing, mines paired with a boomba racing blow off valve adapter so that makes it even better. Definitely worth the money
Razer accepted a refund RMA. I dug around on this panel, and it is a 30ms+ response time. Both the 1080 and 4K panels on the 2019 Blade Stealth are that speed. I ended up ordering a Blade 15 Advanced with the 9570H, 240Hz 12ms panel(I know, but why not?!), and RTX2070MQ. Should be here by Tuesday, and I'll reply with a link to a new video
In the video, I just ran it out of a small grommet on the back of my case. I have since removed the small controller and us plug(it slides off) and plugged it straight into the RGB header on my motherboard. Works fine on my Strix X470 board with the Asus Aurora software
@@DadMode1105 In this video, the LED strips were using th controller that they come with, which plugs into a USB port(5V) for power, and has a small IR receiver and controller. Shortly after I made this clip, I ended up simply unplugging the strip from the included controller and simply plugging it into the RGB header on my motherboard. The motherboard in this clip is the Asus ROG Maximus VIII Hero. I have since changed over to an AMD system and am running the Asus ROG Strix x470-F Gaming board. You won't get the level of control or color tuning via Asus's software as you get from the strip's included controller. However, I really like the strips and plan on purchasing more of them! They are a great buy.
@@DadMode1105 There is a 12v header and a 5V digital. The strip is on the 5v digital header, that's how you get the different colors throughout the strip.

Well I'm having mine installed this week on my 2018 Escape 1.5L. Once you understand just how much crud gets circulated back into these turbo's and over the backs of the valves you won't even want to start your car again without a catch can. I'm getting the RX catch can kit by Tracy Lewis. He's doing a free install for me since I'm local. He's gonna make a video and post it as well so be looking for it shortly. You need a dual valve kit ideally. One line to clean air during idle and the other line cleans the air under boost. Most people only do the first one which only protects you under idle conditions. That does help somewhat to the protect the valves better but would do nothing to protect your turbo (and crud still makes it through the turbo to the valves anyway). You can find pictures online of trashed valves and turbos in with just 40,000 miles on them.
Cold start, hood is up, and I think the microphone picks up some of the higher noise and amplifies it. It definitely isn't this loud with the hood down.
Just sucks you really don't notice a difference in power. It's all mental. You're really just buying this for the sound and appearance under the hood. And there is nothing wrong with that! I was thinking about getting one for my 15
Akron Ohio That isn't entirely accurate. The engine is noticeably more responsive on the low end, and picked up 3mpg. K&N offers a dyno sheet stating like 12hp or something like that. Nothing I can say I absolutely could tell. Nevertheless, the low end responsiveness and a few extra mpg is enough. But yes, it does sound nice :)
Garrett Welfley The Fusion doesn't have an actual BOV. It uses basically a waste gate that dumps to the intake upstream from the turbo. You should be able to see it on the pipe.
@@Kamo6Oh can you swap a 6.4 turbo onto a 6.0 i have a 6.0 and i currently have a non VGT setup its a race truck..... i am looking to go with compounds or sequential turbo setup....... i like the idea of buying aftermarket 6.4 turbo and making a few custom pipes and modifying or reusing a pedestal for the turbo
