Come guess me this riddle, what beats pipes and fiddle What's hotter than mustard and milder than cream What best wets your whistle, what's clearer than crystal What's sweeter than honey and stronger than steam What'll make the dumb walk, what will make the lame talk, The elixir of life and philospher's stone And what helped Mr. Brunnell to build the Thames Tunnel Wasn't it whiskey from ould Inisowen So stick to the cratur' the best thing in nature For sinking your sorrows and raising your joys Oh lord, it's no wonder, if lightning and thunder Weren't made from the plunder of whisky me boys.
"Come guess me this riddle: what beats pipes and fiddle? What's hotter than mustard and milder than cream? What best wets your whistle? What's clearer than crystal? What's sweeter than honey and stronger than steam? What can make the dumb talk? What can make the lame walk? What's the elixir of life and philospher's stone? And what helped Mr. Brunel to dig the Thames Tunnel? Sure wasn't it whiskey from ould Inishowen? So stick to the cratur' the best thing in nature For sinkin' your sorrows and raising your joys. And boys I half wonder, if lightning and thunder Was made from the plunder of whiskey me boys." Hozier - The Humours of Whiskey (Traditional, a cappella)
Imagine having the chance to interview Hozier and these are the questions you ask. He’s a true professional - I wouldn’t have blamed him if he walked out. I cringed nearly the whole time.
‘i’m not trying to’ yes you are. stop it. he doesn’t like talking about his love life. stop prying. and LET HIM YAP she’s like interrupting him. stop it
I love how she takes an assumptive close like a specialist on her questions....She would be hell on a salesfloor at a department store seriously....haha
I can't stop laughing. Hozier has met his nemesis and is just BARELY hanging in there trying to make it through this gauntlet of fire & brimstone and hanging on for dear life trying not to be bucked off the horse. All time most insane and riotous interviews. 😂 He's a legend to survive this.
I watched it yesterday for the first time and could't believe it... How can you, ERICA AMERICA, be so rude and not respect his obvious avoidance to answer questions that he finds too private, it's enraging.
What's wrong with a still crowd? If I was there, I would also be standing still, probably holding tears back. Hozier's songs make me feel like I'm under a thunderstorm, it's very immersive. Every pluck and strum of the guitar like raindrops, the percussion like every part of nature singing along, and his voice carrying ours, expressing the very essence of joy, relief, worry, and excitement under the refreshing rain and the frightening boom of thunder.
