5524R is my next watch, currently saving up for it, my Christmas bonus should get me across the finish line, I was going to pick this up 2 months ago but I scored a brand new Rosegold Skydweller white dial warranty card in my name for 42.5k so I couldn't pass that up!! I'm 6'4" 223 pounds with 7.5 inch wrist and this watch looks fantastic on my wrist. In my humble opinion this is the only Patek that isn't woman sized and I need it!
I have the blue bb58, but I’ve Never seen another bb58 in the wild. I did talk to a gentleman with a 41mm black bay but that’s it. As watch guys, we see a lot of different pieces online but the reality is the masses are buying submariners if they aren’t wearing an Apple Watch.
hehe the 'girl of my dreams' watch is the BB58 Ceramic Blue Master Chronometer F1 Edition. Tudor now delving into the 'METAS' spec is a love/hate relationship in the community. There's people running on FOMO, dumping their "old" COSC Tudors and Social Media is creating the scare all over again, saying Tudors will no longer be <$5K watches anymore. Seeing GMTs, Pelagos and BB58s for <$2 on the market after COVID is just bonkers. Social Media is one hell of a tool that's both in-favor and against people. People that run off of Social Media as a job NEED to get their hands on the latest and greatest, because that's exactly what their careers depend on: Coverage. For the everyday person, you can get the watches on your own terms. It's your money and how you see the value in said product you covet. Let everyone else be on that FOMO Mindset, and you will profit. It's the same with the Stock Market. It's up to you to decide when to pull the trigger. Utilize the tools you are given and the experience from others to snag that THING you've always wanted.
i own the tudor heritage black bay model from 2012 with the red bezel. I bought it because i could not affort a sub. Today i own a sub and i still love my black bay. but differently. like an old friend , instead of my girl of dreams :)
No doubt the SBGW231 is a true beauty. However, I don't like the high maintenance cost of mechanical watches, so I bought an SBGX295 instead. Maybe they would have been better just buying the Watch Dives BB54. £80 with the excellent VH31 quartz movement which vastly outperforms any mechanical watch.
I’ve been looking at Tudor’s but their quality control suffers, looked at this watch at the AD and was amazed. A little too formal but still very tempted. I have a 40 year old mechanical diver that has never been serviced and still runs great. Bought it as a 20 year old. I guess I’m a fan of the brand. 🙏
No point in debating. I liked both and got both Omeg and Rolex and love them equally though got sd 43 and omega diver chronograph which are both much higher end feeling than their smaller countrrparts.
watching some videos on this watch, I realize yours came out about when the 2nd gen 57 was released, but you should update it. The 2nd gen 57 is 13mm thick and has the manual (as you mentioned liking) 9906 calibre. You are showing mixes of the 1st gen 57 with the automatic 9300 and the face of the 2nd gen. Are you now going to say it really is a Daytona killer??? ;)
Where do I get a seiko with a saphire dial? I have a gold datejust but I never want to use it. It was my dad’s. But sometimes want a watch. I like them to tell time. Less hassle than checking my phone
just bought a DJ41 blue, Smooth and Oyster, the most sporty config you can get on this watch for daily use. fluted is nice but too shimy for my taste to go to Publix or Costco, great for a wedding or dining out.
I still have mine from 2018 and it's great. I put it on a Zulu strap, making it more tactical and secure. Plus some bullbars. Still rocking it until the end. I replaced the Bezel once so far because I was literally wearing it everywhere (ocean, mountains, forest, workout etc.) you name it.
It is beautiful. Stunning! Most of the people spend money on the same watch brand only to appear .. This work of art it's the opposite. It is beautiful but it's also a mechanical masterpiece.Germany teaching the world how to do things :)
The button at 10 o'clock doesn't just change the date - it also changes the day, month, leap year, and moonphase in sequence. That is the pivotal feature of this watch, considering it has a lousy 38 hour power reserve for a manual wound chrono. Also, remember that what you see on the back is exactly what you would see on the back of a standard datograph or 1815 chrono, since the perpetual calendar is a dial side complication.
