Ledesma Street up to Infante Avenue can still be beautified by planting the center island with pollution -resistant BANI TREES alternating with thickly set ROYAL PALM TREES. The sidewalks can be planted to thickly set Royal palm trees. The GENERAL LUNA STREET stretch from. BONIFACIO DRIVE UP TO MOLO PLAZA can be planted with ROYAL PALM TREES alternating with the existing trees in the entire stretch up to the Iloilo Community College (ICC). From here at the ICC up to Molo Plaza, since there are no center islands, the BANI TREES and ROYAL PALM TREES can be planted at the edge of the sidewalks.
I believe the next areas are nearing completion . These are the Sunset Boulevard Esplanades and biking lanes; and the Dongon Creekside Esplanades and biking lanes. Then, the future areas are the river edge from Tabucan to Molo going to Oton, these are aside from the new Esplanades at the SUNSET BOULEVARD! With all these beautification and riverside embankment protection project's, no other city compares to ILOILO CITY for projects for the people's benefits.
Thsnk you, CLIVE TOUR. I think this is the last of the Esplanades in the City Proper, unless the Iloilo City Government wants to continue up to the edge where the gasoline tanks are, but these are already a restricted area for security reasons. The gasoline tanks are all there!
Wow! Graceful bodies and confident footwork. Proud to be an Ilongga here😊. Beautiful performance. I'm in awe. Focused on the theme. Pure and simple ode to Independence from the heart of Ilonggos. God bless the people who showcased this performance worth watching for the longest time. ❤
I consider General Luna Street in ILOILO CITY as the Most Beautiful Street in the Philippines, because it has a rare collection of well-designed turn-of-the-century Spanish era and American era heritage buildings, also grand heritage mansions, Spanish era religious convents, century-old universities, exclusive schools, hi-tech hospitals, chapels, the century-old Iloilo Central Elementary School; the former residence of the Archbishop; hotels, residential condominiums, vsnking institutions; a shopping mall; cafes, bakeshops, restaurants, Spanish era grilled fences heavy with blooming bougainvilleas, center island trees, and company offices. What makes General Luna Street unveatsble is that at the back of sll these buildings is the river , edged with the 3-kilometer long Esplanades which runs parallel to General Luna Street. Such are combination of heritage and modern bldgs, eateries, and even two Museums at thw two universities, and with the parallel Esplanades by the river, make General Luna the most beautiful street in the Philippines.
ILOILO CITY is a well-developed city. When all these 6 big public markets in ILOILO CITY will be completed in 2026, Iloilo City will be even more beautiful, well-developed, cleaner than ever, and will be even more at par with the great cities of the world like Madrid and Barcelona, San Sebastian and Bilbao in Spain; Milan and Florence in Italy; Bruges in the Netherlands; Dresden in Germany; Stockholm in Sweden; Copenhagen and Arhust in Denmark; Prague In the Czech Republic; Singapore; Melaka, Georgetown,Penang and Kuching in Malaysia. These statements are not illusory but fact-based, ILOILO CITY doesn't compete with other Philippine cities but looks up to and is inspired with the great cities of the world. This fact is obvious when visiting ILOILO CITY and exploring the city. ILOILO CITY is the best city in the Philippines, the most beautiful, cleanest, mist orderly, charming old-world European romantic, most walkable, and most livable city in the Philippines. This is a reality-based or evidence-based statement.
Wow!!!! Crossing has a time limit.... Just like a Western style..... I hope there residential also has a less wire up and healthy environment as cleanliness +++ discipline.......
It's like you are walking on the charming streets of a European city like Paris, with the classic European buildings, rows of trees and flowerpots with flowers and greenery. Small intimate shops, schools and universities, century-old private houses.
