@@bigbadaboomcz3551 you have good specs. 8gb of vram is awesome and cpu is more than capable. 60fps is entirely attainable with what you have. I'd say use vulkan and aim for 1080p if you are Upscaling. Your laptop specs are pretty much the equivalent (maybe better) to my desktop pc that I made this video on.
I have a problem in Soul River that I can't fix it, the doors and enemy moves like gelatina when I move the camera, I mean I'm in front a door and they move as I movr the camara I try all but nothing fix it.

do you know how to remove lines that cut through textures (example: such as the background for the floating mario head screen), just curious if there is a fix for this
@@badluck747 this pack uses the mod that is literally called 'remastered'. It's the one that uses hd textures. I even showed it in the video and it's the first link in the list of mods. I'll check out the Uodated Classic mod as stated. Are you going to be ok? Is there anything I can do to make it better?
@@badluck747 no worries mate. I checked the Updated Classic out and it's been shut down for both MP 1&2. Could only find a reddit post with drive download link, not sure if the discords are still up for those projects either. Shame, looks like a good way to play the game in addition to the "remaster" mod. Just for future reference mate, I'm here to help. I have a question: I already have a mame folder pre-configured by me. I hand picked about 2.000 non-merged roms. I DID NOT import a full rom set on launchbox. They were all added individually. Can I just place the CFG, NVRAM and the controller images and ignore the arcade platform xml? I guess my question is: Do I even need to bother with the xml if I already have my platform and roms setup?
I modded the games myself a couple of months back. I hope that the remakes are good, though I'm not convinced that they really need to be made, as the original two games hold up superbly (especially when modded). If they were going to remake a Max Payne game, I would have rather they remade the third instalment or just made a 4th game, as the third game was dreadful and in genuine need of a rethink.
This works great, except for the fact that it seems that one has to launch a lightgun game in controller mode, use keyboard key "1" to start the game and then switch to lightgun mode to actually play with the mouse. This seems a bit daft. Should the keyboard be working in addition to the mouse? Alternatively, would it not make more sense to designate the start button to the middle mouse button? EDIT: Okay, so I opened the config files for the three lightgun games and changed the start button to the middle mouse button, by typing in the following... input_player1_gun_start_mbtn = "3" It works great now. Just thought I'd point that out for anyone else having issues.
@@Right_Said_Brett Hi Brett. Yes, you'll have to change controller input from controller to lightgun, but only once. Not everyone has a middle mouse button, but everone has a 1 key, which is usually start for arcade emulators outside of a controller. Start for lightguns can only be bound to one input in RA, so it's 1 or the middle button, not both unfortunately. I get more complaints from mouse users with no middle button than users wanting the middle mouse button to be start. One of those 'which one is the lesser evil' situations. Standalone doesn't suffer the same issue and my config for that has start bound to both. Most lightgun users will bind 1 as start in the lightgun software also, as that tends to be the default. I try to configure for as many people as possible, but sometimes you can't please everyone or cover all use cases. The standalone config fixes all these RA issues btw. It allows for seamless swapping of controllers, mice & lightguns, on the fly if you wish, with proper configuration of course.
@@warpedpolygon I completely understand, mate. However, as I said; pressing the '1' key wasn't working for me once I selected the lightgun as my controller.

Hopefully they're not involved. I don't think that there's much in the way of offensive content in the games, but then again the modern generation are offended by everything, so they'll probably censor the games regardless.
@@zZiL341yRj736 remember the intro to this game? Brutal. I hope it stays in as it makes you wanna take Max on a revenge rampage. As Rockstar are getting involved, the Baby Inc may be kept at bay. Remedy have been putting out some good stuff, Control was good and I'm liking all the links to the overall Remedy universe. Hopefully they manage to pull it off and create more unique spooky interconnected games.
Does the overclocking also help with loading times? I am talking about a specific issue in the must play PSOne game Tekken 3. If you're familiar with the game, you might be familiar with the characters too. There's a mimic character in the game named Mokujin. He changes character every single round and when that happens, the game freezes for a moment. Well, the freeze doesn't bother me visually but the audio freeze bugs me. Can the overclocking resolve this issue? I know Tekken 3 is a great arcade conversion to PS1 but this freeze bugs me. So, what do you think?
That's an interesting issue. I don't think overclocking will fix despite being a loading issue. The OG hardware didn't do this so I assume it's something to do with the logic/move sets loading into the character on the fly that the emulator is having trouble with. An adjustment of some other options may fix this, but I cannot be sure. Maybe try a different PS1 emulator to see if it's a common issue.
The mods for Max Payne 2 are pretty the same as the ones for the first game and easy enough to install. Max Payne 3 doesn't really have any mods of substance (which is a shame, as it's the game which needs to be altered the most).
@@chrisryan8894 it's pretty difficult to compare. It's considered to be the main one everyone uses now and is still getting dev time. So if it's not now, it will be.

Might need some clarification for this one. I got to the hd ui section and it says to put some files in a Binary folder and run a *.end file to install. My game doesn’t have a binaries folder so I just skipped it. Also, my wheels have really bad edges and don’t look near round. Not sure if this is the same for yours. They’re just a step up from having octagons for wheels lol
@@derekfcc Binary is a program used for modding these games. It's a seperate program. As for octagonal wheels, set resolution to 4k in the ini and increase the in game resolution as high as it'll go.
@@warpedpolygon much appreciated. Yeah, maxing out the ingame resolution and setting the graphics to high detail fixed all of the issues I was seeing. Got Binary installed and just about done setting up the hd hud. Then it’s time to work on #2, then transfer it all over to Linux. This was a long one my friend, lol. Might be worth revisiting and jumping into more detail on some of the mods. Lots of links to other links that link over to different modules. Kind of a pain, but I’ve already cracked this can open, gotta finish
Alright, got #1 and #2 straightened out. All mods installed. 1 is pretty much there. Still need to check some settings on #2. Setting the resolution in the ini file breaks the game so I just set it to 0 and let it figure itself out. Still looks better than any of the emulated versions that I’ve tried. Time to push it all to my batocera box and troubleshoot all of the errors that come with that process, lol. DLL overrides, here I come
@@TTVThreeStar you can do so, it'll eat more performance but you are essentially applying SSAA by doing so. Which may look better, however you can introduce downscaling artifacts with some games.
@@warpedpolygon I guess one other question would be if I get a new pc is there a way I can transfer my save data between the old and new computers? Like using cloud storage or something?
@@TTVThreeStar you could email em to yourself if you wanted. The save files are tiny. Tbe save files mostly work between versions of PCSX2. Just put them in the correct folder on ya new pc. Nothing special needs to be done
@@warpedpolygon i mainly just meant for transferring but that does answer my question. mainly because ive been looking into getting an actual gaming pc/budget pc purely for emulation/streaming pc from xbox purposes, but not sure what to look for spec wise for that
