I started this channel as another way to share my love for garage kits and model kit building. I've been building models since I was a kid and started painting professionally in 2002. Here I will show updates to my current projects, share some building and painting tips, review some models, and explore the wonderful world of garage kits.
I'm just starting out so my videos will not be the best and probably not very interesting, but I will strive to improve with every upload. Thanks!
I'm nearly finished with mine. Overall a nice model but that Riker's Enterprise bridge from "All good things..." is beyond horrible. I have now idea how it ended up on the regular Enterprise D.
Do not do this. Those ‘pinholes’ are part of the mold. They are intentional. Look at the skin areas of the model… there are no holes there. The casting was done properly and is fine. The holes were created as part of the ‘creature suit’ Laguna is wearing. I’ve confirmed this by talking with the guys at Filmy’s Girls, the kit provider, at WonderFest last year. I was asking about techniques to paint them since they are all over the creature suit portion of the model (but absolutely no place else) I painted this using a dark green base coat that filled the holes. I then glazed the dark green back to light green being careful to not lighten the holes to much. Brighter areas went to lighter green while darker areas stayed closer to the base color (some light was added for variegation). I use a yellow-green glazing on the ‘ribs’ between sections. The dark green base was largely left alone right next to the ribs. It looks amazing. (More because it’s an amazing sculpt rather than I’m an amazing painter (which I’m not… just decent)) The holes are an intentional feature. They are not a mistake and they add accent and depth to the figure.
You actually got ahold of an official kit from Wonder Festival. LUCKY! Anyways, that paper was mostly product and copyright info. 1/7 scale resin kit. Do not reproduce, etc. I know you don't know me, and this video is pretty ancient (by youtube standards), but if you ever get a kit and you think info is hidden in the Japanese text you can message me. 🙂👍 Outside of my own painting I also translate Japanese in my spare time. Happy painting!
Yep, everything you see on my channel is painted by myself. I should have recorded this one because there's a lot to it, but it would have slowed me down too much. I plan on talking about how I ran the wiring at some point at least.
Thank you for sharing this. I’m helping my 9yo put his together and we want to add lights. I so would have messed this up if you hadn’t shared your thoughts.
I just found you via youtube by pure chance (starting stages of buying some kits) , I love your work and as soon as my kits come in I really hope to be able to commission you, your work is stunning :) Cheers
Great sexy girl figure, it's been a long time since I've seen this one! I'm getting into resin figures, what is the best way to clean them before priming?
👨🏽🎨 you have great potential on becoming big on RU-vid, just some ideas...don't get me the wrong way please.....maybe add better background music, do some voice over while doing the actual build/paint/assemble. Keep viewers busy..idk Just ideas...I'll subscribe to your channel and see where you take this...peace and good luck👍🏼
I’ve enjoyed watching videos. I hope you are able to do more in 2021. Stay healthy and safe. I also do resin figures. In my retirement I find it a great way to spend time. Happy New Year.
