I was really hoping for default Gyro controls for this game, a lot of players were asking for it during the beta. Hopefully they end up adding it. Good thing there is mixed input at least.
hey I just wanna say, thank you so much for making this channel, what lit the fire in me for gyro controllers was solarlight's video on why controllers don't suck in tf2, and then I found your channel explaining so much on how to setup things in steam and how many games you covered as well. I wasn't even a big console player, I just kinda liked controller for *some* games, I was always a mouse and keyboard, moreso keyboard only guy, but then buying a dualsense with the sole intent of playing with gyro on first person shooters, I gotta say it was one of the best decisions I've ever made, I'm having so much fun with it. I will admit that at the beginning (first 2-3 days) I was so out of whack trying to get used to gyro aiming that I felt like giving up entirely, I was dreaming of playing with gyro and I almost gave up on the first day because of how hard it was to aim, but then I stuck to it and didn't give up, beat the entirety of DOOM 3 with it, and I feel like I won't ever play a shooter ever again without gyro, thanks FlickStick Videos.
@@FlickStickVids Do you live in Brazil? I bought it really cheap on Aliexpress, bro. It's really cool to use, but I wanted to know how each thing works on it so I could set it up correctly. It would be great content for your channel, bro.
so instead of one set of controls use two and hope each can cover the other's lack of resolution, tall ask, sounds like a lot of effort to me. I'ma stick with my mouse.
I think gyro isn't a replacement for a keyboard and mouse, rather a way to make controllers be able to have the accuracy of a mouse while still being comfortable for those who prefer the layout of a controller.
Need help with apex legends gyero setup i am facing glitching gyero + keybind conflict need help and also can't remap may keys to gyero and I can't find points to point key maping for apex gyero setup for ps5 controller
Can you make a tutorial on Gyro + flick stick on DS4windows? To me its much more intuitive since it has polling rate options and battery percentage, and gyro is actually working quite well, but Im having hard time understanding and tweaking controls like smoothing, jitter reduction and so on.
Hi I just recently found your channel while searching guides for my new controller. Gulikit kk3. I am now enjoying flickstick + gyro. It renewed my love for FPS games. I have a question. When I press button and the right trigger my pointer shakes jusr like you what you show in the video. Is it a lot better on PS5 controller?
Gyro is very sensitive and precise, that's why this happens, so the solution is to train to press the triggers more softly or to change the shooting button to a more stable button, most commonly players swap the triggers with the bumpers. I just posted a video explaining how to hold the controller so you might want to check that out for further information. Hope this helps!
@@FlickStickVids thanks a lot man! I have been binged watching your videos. Highly appreciated the effort doing your guides. I am bit old, and stopped playing FPS for a very looong time. Discovering gyro brought back the youth in me like the first time I played counter strike beta 6 in the 90s. It's awesome to be young again haha.
Thank you for the awesome guide! I would love it if this was written down in some form, like on a website or even just a Google Doc that you could share with a link. 🤩
I'm glad you like it! I was planning on making a text version on Reddit, but I can't post gifs anymore. Now that I have a Steam Deck, I will probably make a Steam Guide on the steam deck community. So... Stay tuned!
The game is cracked and I add this game in steam and edited that game controller layout. Then I used steam input on this game but the game has no effect no controls work and gyro doesn't work. how to solve this
I would love to! But I do not own the game. I asked Sony for review copies but I got no response, one day I plan to buy and review all of the playstation games. In the meantime, Al2009 made an awesome analysis about the gyro implementation of the PC port of Horizon Forbidden West, you can read that here: www.reddit.com/r/horizon/s/KbR1STMdFz

No controller can do that. Only games and controllers re-mappers, like Steam Input. Watch the "how to disable gyro" chapter to learn how to set that up.
I already made a video for it! It doesn't have extended gameplay, but there're plenty of gyro gameplay videos on yt. Like this one: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-w6ky469eWHE.htmlsi=ykYUbW3rze1ItVYL
I gotta say i really wanna try this on my steamdeck, but my steam deck, compared to the ps4 controller is heavier. Either i need to start lifting weights, or use a controller connecting to my steamdeck
Or just increase the sensitivity. The roll example in the middle of the video is very exaggerated, gyro isn't as complicated as it seems. If you want to try it out, here's everything you need to know to set up gyro on Steam Deck: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-OQYEqYCzOPM.htmlsi=wQ7YK0-tIE3f7r7m
@@FlickStickVids yeah Ive tried in ow2 it was ok, still need practice. Sensitivity was not enough until I set the gyro as mouse. But I need to memories my layout because when I use gyro, the game displays the mouse and keyboard layout until it detects controller inputs
Yeah. You can try different games to see if you like it, my configs always tries to replicate the default controls. You can find all of my configs here: steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3266410893
I always hold my controller sorta tilted to the left. I feel this sorta helps for me cause I’m so used to using the Wii mote to point at things with my right hand as a kid especially now since I also use gyro for games that have an in game cursor or need a pointer/cursor to play the game like plants vs zombies or dead esate.
Hi bro, I just purchased an Armor X Pro for an Xbox controller! I'm using this Gyro and it really surprises me how good it is! I would like to see settings to use in the Pubg game. Great video, thanks, I'm subscribed to your channel. success there bro.
Cool! I'm glad you are liking it! Unfortunately I do not own an Xbox or any Xbox controller, and here in Brazil an Armor X Pro costs as much as my budget for food for the month XD, so I'm afraid I won't be able to help you with pubg. But you can learn all about the basic concepts of gyro aiming here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-rOybuNm9XR8.htmlsi=-UMOrL6QnXwnXvGx
Having back paddles will help a lot in keeping it stable as you don't need to keep moving your right thumb to the buttons. I personally have four back paddles and it's a biiiig deal, I never really have to move my right thumb. I also use steam input to have a simulated dpad on the DualSense touchpad so I don't have to arthritis my left index to use the dpad while moving.
This process still works, but nowadays there are faster methods showcased here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-OQYEqYCzOPM.htmlsi=NL1LGUM8yo5Ali_J
Hey flickstick as far as wireless controllers with gyro what would you suggest? Right now I've been looking at the flydigi apex 4 or 8bitdo ultimate bluetooth since they updated the 2.4ghz dongle to work in either switch or non-switch mode. I don't believe the ps5 controller has a dongle right?
@FlickStickVids got a bluetooth dongle and tried it with virtualhere to my suprise there were no issues. Tested out gyro, stick and trackpad using myself and SO whose never played a shooter. She scored highest with gyro.
Do you have some longer game-play videos with you using the gyro in the finals? I tested it out and it's ok in the practice range but it feels weak in some good lobbies, especially combined with movement.
Not my video, but there's plenty of videos of people that are much better than me, like this one: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-LnOBQbj-HVw.htmlsi=TIl48fxWRsppE60O Siifar is also really good: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-jls3r2EON0U.htmlsi=bU0mc8d3UPWrpHe0 And of course, iHardScope plays CS2 with gyro, so just give it some time. Have fun!
2x if you are a beginner. I also recommend decreasing the vertical sens so you will be obligated to rely on gyro to look up and down. You will get used to it in no time!
You are right. The new version of this video is much simpler and it covers more features, here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-OQYEqYCzOPM.htmlsi=VCVjRe6ArvQB_j1M
I get the gyro working on the first descendant but there's a conflict with the controller interface jumping between Xbox and playstation even after i left only playstation on. In the first descendant you need to hold l1 combined with the buttons. It cancels skill that need to stay active for a certain period. Can someone help me?
Hey great video, i found out about gyro a year ago and its been a game changer, im disabled dont have as much use in my right hand anymore i can move it but clicking buttons over and over it causes extreme pain. gyro through steam and a custom controller has allowed me to play alot of games i thought i never could!!
