@@kjclark7 I raced D37 up to my mid 50’s. A lot of fun. Decided to just ride trails with friends. Still get excited to see young guys like you race. Love your vids brotha!
Nice ride...I have same bike...felt like maybe you shud do a 48 (what I have on my bike) rear sprocket...just sounded like 1 more tooth would help against stalls and give better acceleration but I might be wrong.
I'm surprised you don't run your compression out softer more. im new to rock riding so im looking for the sweet spot but im at like 20 out on comp. maybe i should try stiffer and see how that feels
how much chain slack are you running? ive heard a million different opinions on the 23's and 24's chain slack spec in the book being way off. some say ktm came out and said the book is wrong and it should be 67mm. i cant find that statement
Good question and a very important one. 65mm is what I'm running and I checked that with the shock out and moving the swingarm thru it's entire range. If you use what ktm states, then the chain will be way too tight when the swingarm is parallel to the ground.
@@kjclark7 I’m running 64 right now but haven’t checked with shock off. Does 65 still leave a little room to go less or is that around the bare minimum?
When I'm riding I don't notice so much clacking around (be it chain or otherwise). So there's either more of it going on here or my ears when riding don't hear the same as what this camera is picking up.
Those rocks had to have been like pure ice! It looks as if you guys had ZERO traction! I'm assuming it was also much steeper then the GoPro made it appear as well! Yikes!
Wow, that course you are riding on is absolute perfection! That is the kind of stuff I love! You had some really good flow going around that too, looks like a blast!
I live and ride in NETRA territory. I have tried a few Hare Scrambles and they arent my thing, I'm not good at going all out right off the bat ... I do my best after warming up some and allowing my mind to settle in. I'd like to try an Enduro, have you done many of the NETRA ones? If so, which one would you recommend for a first timer to get their feet wet in the enduro format? I live closest to and have ridden sections of the Rocktoberfast enduro in Western Mass and whew, yeah I can see why they call it Rocktoberfast haha. Awesome video though, looks like some fun riding!
@@kjclark7 Thank you for the input! My father used to compete in NETRA enduros in the C class in the early 80s, he does have some great stories and a couple of trophies to back them up. All I got to do now is figure out how to get a plate on my 300 XC-W!
So ECEA allows cameras as long as it’s a chest mount? (Non jersey races of course) This got enduro of the year. I’m surprised with all the dust. Was hoping Foggy Mountain would. Not that I’m biased.. (it’s my club 😉)
ECEA is AMA sanctioned and AMA does not allow any helmet cameras. Chest mount is good to go. ECEA does allow cameras but it's up to each respective club to allow it or not. Unfortunately, most clubs do not allow them for various reasons.
The 350xcf is such a fun bike to ride. I just got a 22' and Im loving it. Waiting to test out my Factory Connection revalve if this rain ever stops......great vid
I don't recall what tire I was using on the rear at this race in 2018. I know the front was a M59 though. It's not super rocky here so any good dirt tire will work well. Gummy isn't needed.
What rear tires do you use for the PA events? I'll be at foggy and three springs and figure I should swap rears. Currently have a standard at81 and m59 front.
all depends. mostly dirt and a little rock i'll use the IRC VE33s (this is a great around ECEA tire). even a mud event i'll use a 33s but also a IRC M5B. a dry to semi wet rocky event i'll use a At81ex. that is not great in mud. a full rock event i'll use Dunlop 803. i used the 803 at Michaux, Moonshine, Broadmountain (when they had it) and Shotgun last year
Man you make those trails look smooth. I had a rough time, suspension beat me up. Kept my settings from Durty Dabbers which worked fine, but was totally different for this.
@@kjclark7 Are you the guy? Lol Also it was my 250FX which I dont like running in PA stuff. I had the KYBs setup for my weight and theyre great in jersey for me. I have a TE 150 that I might need work done too.
