Just recently subscribed to your channel and working my way through all the videos 😂 Is this table metal? It looks stable and durable, would you recommend it? I can’t find this exact model, can you provide a link so tell me where to buy it from and how much it was?
Nice selection of awesome kit. Love the DD stuff. Will you be selling any of the kit after your done by any chance? Would love to buy from you if you decide to downside or clear out. Haha
DD stuff is very nice. I chatted to the guys from Scotland who work for DD tarps. Very nice guys, great kit. I'm not sure if I will be selling anything yet. Time will tell.
Have you got a review or recommendation for camping dinner set or stainless steel plates, bowls, cups? I know NGT do a complete dinner set, are you familiar with it?
@anonymous4201 I personally use Kapulka, but it's expensive. There are so many different types, plastic, melamine, stainless steel. I find any metal makes your food go cold quicker, especially in the winter months.
Nice attention to detail there with the “dirty” side for worn clothes. We used to use a bin liner, but we now use a dry bag these days, just for differentiation after some of Rosie’s clothes got thrown away while on scout camp.
Good pack.. seams strong & sturdy. i’ve got the black 120. Plenty big enough for putting everything in… but no kitchen sink. Just a pick up and go bag for the boot of the car… i find it fits larger items in that would be loaded separate…. Great review…
You can put it up on your own it is a bit of a faff and seems like it will never go up but it does you just have to peg the guylines in on the corners without the poles in at full length. Then the guylines on the pole corners make as long as you need them and peg them in. Then put the poles in and hoist it up then shorten the corner guy lines.
Evening Snert… saw you camping in bakewell a couple of weeks ago… only just cone across you on you tube. Follower ever since. Good viewing. Hope you do good.
I collect Coleman lanterns, I have at the moment around 90 of them and I also own a Petromax HK 500 with an Amish conversion that involves replacing the collar, burner frame and bail to accept a larger Coleman bulge globe. I absolutely LOVE this beautiful lantern. You were spot on when you said they are like a living thing, my lanterns are like my children, each one being different. I have never sold any of my lanterns, however I did give one away to my best friend to enjoy.
You need the orange calve dont take it out like I did- this video tells you why - www.google.com/search?q=berghaus+self+inflating+valve+instructions&rlz=1CDGOYI_enUS989US989&oq=berghaus+self+inflating+valve+instructions&gs_lcrp=EgZjaHJvbWUyBggAEEUYOTIHCAEQIRigATIHCAIQIRifBdIBCTE5MTY2ajFqN6gCGbACAeIDBBgBIF8&hl=en-GB&sourceid=chrome-mobile&ie=UTF-8#fpstate=ive&vld=cid:84790dbd,vid:gMZOhrad6cg,st:0
Thinking of going to the BSB at Oulton Park this year for the first time. Was just wondering if it’s worth paying extra for a grandstand seat? I’ll have my 9 year old with me also.
It's free on practice day. About £15 on the Sunday and £25 on the Monday. The price also varies on which Grandstand it is. Oulton Park is a great viewing circuit. So I don't usually bother.
@@Snert007 cool thanks for the reply. I think I’ll not bother with the grandstand. Random question but is there stuff to do between races like demos, music, stalls??
Ouch.....$700 USD right there on the table!! Not that I object to the design and the super cool steampunk/retro aesthetic they give off. I'd love nothing more than to have a couple of them....but my better half would kill me. I was lucky to get away with a couple of Coleman's at 1/3 the cost.
So basically a fiddly version of the tried, true, trusty Coleman white gas lantern but costs 3x more??? Don't get me wrong...as a Steampunk fan I sorta love the brass/gas/glass/pressure gauge vibe of this thing but.......
Greetings rom Northern California. I first became aware of this stove 1 month ago and I was intrigued because of it’s remote canister design. At that time it cost $70 on American Amazon, now it is $100. To my knowledge this stove is not being sold anywhere else in America but Amazon. I was considering buying it but not at $100, forget about it. Besides I already have a MSR Windburner which I bought at $135 on sale. I need a wind resistant stove for the San Francisco Bay Area and I have used the Windburner at a steady 25 MPH with success. The only problem I had was lighting it because it has no piezoelectric lighter but that problem is not insurmountable. I make coffee teabags out of cheesecloth and drink straight from the Windburner.
Looks like a nice campsite there Chris, shame about the cars razzing up and down. I could have showed you how to fillet those mackerel if I’d been there!
I have one of these lanterns. I find on mine that I have to keep a continuous flame to the fast pre heat to keep it burning otherwise it goes out. I was told to reduce the pressure and that kinda works a bit better but still have to re light the fast pre heat. I prefer to use the soft start. It is a beautiful lantern. I also have a 1973 639 kerosene Coleman that although doesn’t look as good the petromax is less finicky . I bought both from an antique shop and paid €70 each. The Coleman was full of fuel ( probably from 1973 ) I just put a mantle on it and it fired right up. They’re both great in their own way but if I had to pick one for reliability then it would be the Coleman. Id like to see a video on the petromax stove you mentioned that fits on top of the lantern, just to see how efficient it is.
Thanks for the comments. I will do a video with the stove attachment on. That's something I haven't got around to doing yet. You seem to be having trouble keeping it alight. I haven't had any of your problems. Once lit, if it has fuel and pressure it will stay happy for 8 hours. I'll make a point of it in the video with the stove attachment.

Great video as usual Snert. I have owned one of these for a good couple of years and have to say they are fantastic not only for camping but for use at home.I allways use the Weber coals. One great tip i picked up off a RU-vid video was to cut the top grill with a junior hacksaw or grinder into half. This gives you more storage and cooking options.
