Looking for a review for this product, wasn't expecting the crazy detail and editing you put into this video. Great work, definitely copping this for my tacoma. Just a little worried some a**hole might jam some super glue or gum into the key hole for the hitch lock.
Thanks for all of the help. I installed mine last night. Everything is good, but there's a subtle "binding" during the first 10" of retracting. I checked measurements from rail to rail, and it's spot on at all 3 recommended measuring spots. Maybe it just takes a bit to wear in???
@@supayota7265 Pretty sure it just needs a bit of "break in". I cycled it a few times, and it seems smoother already. Your TRD Pro is the same color as mine.😂🔥
Are you still able to use the deck rail system that came standard on the truck or will grey peices that go into the toyota factory rail create clearnace issues with the tonneau?
I just installed mine. This really helped. One thing I had to do (for my 22 Tundra) was quite a bit of adjustment to get the rails the same width apart from front to rear (3/4" difference in width).
That's awesome to hear! Congrats on the install and 22! Very envious! Haha. At the same time, I'm waiting for the glitches/issues to go away. I want the TRD Pro 22 (or 23)! Cheers 🍻
Hello! i just bought a platinum tundra 2022 and looking for a bed truck cover at some places but they said they have never done this before that could be a reason they said they try to order one but manufacturer doesn’t have it at this moment so try to find you guy and ask if you ever done the same one. Did you pick the XR or MX and with or W/o deck rail system
@@tungdo4882 Hello. I went with the website called "www.realtruck.com" to purchased my Retrax Pro XR with deck rail system. If your Toyota Tundra comes with a deck rail system installed from the manufacturer, then you will choose "w/ deck rail system". If not, you will choose "w/o deck rail system". The installation is easy! If you follow the steps I did via my RU-vid video, you can do it!
@@tungdo4882 get it direct from the OEM. ProXR with rails. The rails have to do with the ability to put "A" bolts in so you can use Thule/Yakima/Rhino racks....nothing to do with Toyota's internal rail system!!!! If you get it without rails...you can't use external racks....
I'm on the fence for this or the Rhino D360T Step. On amazon it says the Rhino weighs 11 pounds and 39" long and the is 19.8 pounds and 30" long. I really like the heft of this one though. I'm basically getting it for rear end protection. What do you think?
From what you said, rear end protection, I'd go for the one I advertised. The robust, heavy duty built, and people have shown it's worthy withstanding high speed impacts (I read someone's review, saw their pictures, at over 65 mph impact, and it did justice for protection wise!), I don't think Rhino D360T could compare. However, if you require that additional step-down, go for it for your convenience.
Damn, I didn't know it was the lock button. I thought it was the unlock button before but it never worked. Thus, I used the app, but this helps though. I just hate it turns off when you open the door. Thanks man! Please upload more vids? Are you gonna check 88Rotors in LA to lift it up another 1.5 inches to put bigger tires? I miss being in NorCal.
For 12 months, I never knew that feature! Lol. Thankfully, social media guru's are out there to help with random stuff. Yes, I will be uploading more videos out there. Finding time is just the hard part. I moved out of Cali and I do miss it too! Did you move out of state, or what happened?
I can't recollect, to be honest... Because when I first bought the truck, I just bought random stuff and posted the videos late. But if the serial number matches, no doubt in my mind it'll be the same. Most vendors buy from the same source, anyway.
Funny, my 2019 TRD PRO came with that package (oem). I was thinking about removing them, and just have the standard stamped emblem. Mine is the same color as yours(white). For some reason, the red/black has never appealed to me.
Covercraft Carhartt seat cover (from realtruck.com website for $250+) , which were originally for my 2018 Toyota Tundra SR5 TSS. However, as you saw, they still fit on my 2021 Toyota Tundra TRD PRO which has leather seats except the head rest (the head rest covers were too small). I'd do a video on them but I sold the truck 😢 But stay tuned for the next one either 2022 or 2023 (waiting for all these issues and/or glitches to be resolved).
The window visors and the spoiler look good. The hood guard not so much. I always felt like older people put that hood stuff on their vehicles. It takes away from the aggressive styling. Nice truck!
@@supayota7265 hey at least it’s functional. What type of bumper are you planning to get? I actually have the same exact truck even same color, it’s absolutely a keeper.
@@wayned3137 Definitely will keep mine too! Planing on hauling stuff down the line and the V8 is crucial! I was looking at the Addictive Desert Designs Stealth Fighter w/ winch. Kind of excited! How about you?
