Thanx Roger, enjoy your talks. With respect to playing music, I play (guitar sing). Is this an area where our HP takes any interest? Music is new to me after 33 years of being sober..all the best.
I went to The Retreat in Wayzata, MN and I RECOVERED!!! It was the first time anyone actually read the forward and gave me hope that I didn't have to be Recovering the rest of my life. I could be Recovered!!! Awesome! No I don't drink and can't...but the obsession ends...You can recover! It is awesome!
More wisdom from Bill Wilson worth considering: “Anonymity is the spiritual foundation of all our traditions, ever reminding us to place principles before personalities.” “Anonymity is real humility.”
I had the privilege of hearing Roger speak Saturday night, February 1, 2020 at the Winter Conference, Winnipeg, Manitoba. Thank you for sharing Roger. I especially find this topic” Emotional Sobriety, the Fourth Dimension” relevant at this time.
You can get to a place whete you can say thank you for the flaw... 💜 wonderful thank you.. That has been my experience...under my rocks of shame iv found answers and love... So glad I found these uploads thank you for sharing your experience strength and hope...😍
I met Roger at the Menuca men's retreat I had the honor of sitting with my sponsor Andy W the retreat secretary a Roger, Lenny Z, and others for all the meals and enjoyed the connection I felt over the weekend I listened to the tapes and took a new look at the steps with his ideas in mind than you Roger B
good talk, but at many points it's hard to understand the words. not sure if you are turning away from the mike or if it's mumbling, but it would be great to hear all the words spoken.
God bless the AA fellowship and them drunks that show us the truthful way out. Truly beautiful understanding of the Big Book and life in recovery. May God's grace be in and around you as life unfolds it's miracles to us, one day at a time, just for today I don't need a drink, amazing. Thank you, A.A. fellowship.
Thank you Roger for another tool in our sobriety kit. As I was listening the other night I was joined by local teens that missed their meeting being too late. They sat and had a ' meeting ' with me & you went home sober that night with a new place to turn to if & when they need. GTL kept me going in the early yrs and still does it's a privilege to pass it on.
This talk encourages me to take a realistic look at what or who I'm worshipping. A good reminder that I can't confuse people, places, things or self with what the real "source" or Power is in my life.
This series of talks (admission, submission, restitution and construction) is so worthwhile. It aligns perfectly with the intention of the 12 Steps, but explains them using a different approach - the four phases we go through as we're on our recovery journey. A refreshing perspective!
I've been through the Big Book dozens of times - with my sponsor, with sponsees, in meetings and in study groups - but I still found Roger's BB study incredibly valuable. He has a unique way of presenting the ideas and principles that is truly insightful, and helpful to my personal spiritual growth.
Roger B knows recovery. He explains how we were sick and how to become well. These talks at The Gathering are not merely about not drinking. They are about how drinking is a symptom of The Problem of Living. I have attended The Gathering in person for years because Roger B supports my recovery, my growth, and adds more tools to my bottomless toolbox for living wholly. From these talks, I move through my program with deeper understanding of How it (all) Works. Don't miss out!
Roger B. is the most influential person in my recovery. I have listened to & attended everything talk he has given. I Love this guy! Thank You for putting this on RU-vid. Well played Roger... Well Played! ~ ~ ~ Anonymous
So much good stuff in this.. staring with from the reminders that it's God that I need to depend on.. worship the message, not the messenger.. sponsors, meetings, service, fellowship are only tools we use to connect with the Power. Good reminders, for me of the dangers of deifying anyone in or out of AA.. Recovery is action.
