No cambiaste retenes, ni anillos, no veo que pusieras la plantilla para colocar la geometría, y veo que no balanceas las turbinas... Bueno cada quien 😅
Many people dont know this but after making this video this guy went on to form his own turbo manufacturing company called Garrett air research. Now he designs his own turbos and China copies all his designs.
These rebuilt do not last as long as the original. They are a waste of time and money, I’ve been through 3 rebuilds from Cummins luckily it was all within a year and under warranty. Best to buy a new one.
ya right here in Canada a new turbo from cummins with the Actuator is $14400.00 who can afford that I just looked into this so I'm having my turbo and actuator rebuilt
As somebody already mentioned, this is more of a making it look better than rebuilding it. All of the parts were reused. I wish I had time to make video how it should be done proffesionally.
I have the exact same turbo on a 2013 Cummins isx with 650k miles and when it idles sometimes it makes a sneezing sound or chuffing! Any idea what might be causing this issue? Engine is original with factory components and factory aftertreatment system.
@@StickNclutchcheck the sensor at the top right at the top of the engine mine was broken its right behind the blue coolant hose I have a 2015 isx 15 kenworth I'm at 846901 kms and just over 19000 hrs it's called a pressure sensor part number is 4928594 hope that helps you
Would give a thumbs up except for stupid music and maybe some explanation along the way..not sure if this is an actual rebuild or just make it look better. I believe a turbo is quite precise but maybe im wrong.
Putting headers on the 5.7 is a mofo. It’s too tight as it is let alone to try to wrap them. Best thing to do is get them cerakoted. Cost more but you’re protecting them and it keeps all that heat inside them where it belongs rather than to melt everything under your hood since you can’t reuse the stock heat shields.
I'd like to see that added 1/4 turn but bet it just tightens up over time with the left hand threads. It has been 1 1/2 years now. I wonder if Garrett has an update on the turbo compressor and paint longevity?
Turbo has been installed on a Kenworth highway truck with a ISC cummins since the rebuild. Here's a small clip... ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-bZ4LqJXDGmk.html
