I wanted that Queens of Poland book so bad, but I waited, the freight/shipping was so expensive. Finally, during Covid, I went crazy and ordered it. Now I am afraid of it and it just sits in a cabinet, getting old…I am intimidated about where to start and don’t want to mess up. Now I think I should enjoy my book and get started…if you do, then so will I…🙏🏽

Just remember white flowers or animals reflect the colors around them. Don’t be afraid to use blues, pinks, greens, yellows, violets, and other complementary and analogous colors.
Guelder Rose with Honeysuckle in WITW is superb! Gardeners call it Snowball Tree here in Oz,lol. Have you seen the new Goddess Colouring book? I picked it up and it's LOM publishing I thought of you because it has an opposite page with alot of details about the goddess and many from varied cultures that I hadn't heard of.with quite beautiful ,individual drawings .
The white flowers are very,very good colored! And I can see the shadows on then ....... I really don't understand why you say they are not so good.... Your Paint work is magnificent! 💫💖💫

This is wonderful. I've just finished 'Around the world' from front to back with hardly a pause, and I am getting 'Lost and Found' and 'Mountain King' for Christmas, if I can wait that long. Time with you, books by Russel and 'Matchstick Mouse' series, books by Anna M and Crystl V, are helping to keep my head level as part of my every day is spent in Ukraine. I hope knowing we are with you every time you post a video, helps give you strength too.
I found the paper, as Alena said, to take colour well and allow pencils to blend. The characters are so much fun to colour, I finished a page and started the next right away. I admit I'm ok with some of the white coming through, but 2 good passes gives me something I'm happy with. I really want to do the second set in each book as well, and how often does that happen.
I got used to this paper by combining markers for the background and pencils for the main objects. I prefer Polychromos pencils, mostly because there are some delicate details which are easier to color with thin tip of Polychromos. Prismacolors also blend well on this paper, but to cover paper more thoroughly it's better to use blender.
Mermaids are available is USA, amzn.to/3TLM4vs, but price is rather high. I hope that closer to Christmas publisher will do something about availability of elves book.
