I tuned in to see about the rifle... nothing. As far as a hunt , it was about as challenging as shooting one of Farmer Jones' Holstein cows walking in to the barn for milking.
100% I’ve been taught the same hunting, trap and skeet in fact I don’t even use it with turkeys, When you look at the sight your not looking at the bird, when your looking at the bird and have the correct form you’ll hit it every time just from hand eye coordination.
Awesome man, I liked the fact you gave it a good try and shut down a nice buck with a 12 gage, can I ask you what type of exact shell did you use for that particular shot?
It's called a turkey chair and it's a very effective way to sit anywhere but for sure in places where there isn't much to sit down around..... Either way appreciate your comment and try them sometime, when the turkey don't gobble the naps are better this way
Where are the tritium sights for Henry rifles? Missing out on the lever action community. We don’t want to put plastic on our premium rifles, we want tritium sights!!!
I would check out the Beat Down website, they've got a mix of options you can choose from as well as a great customer service team if you need to reach out to them
Have to tell my one and only deer hunting trip. Mu husband went every year with his buddy who at the last minute couldn't go. I said I'll go. (this was almost 50 yrs ago now) I was a young wife wanting to help. He told me to dress warm. He set up a tent by a creek and I asked "Dont you have a treehouse" He laughed "No, tree blind" Then just a few hours later he wakes me up "C'mon let's go!" What time is it? About 3 a.m. WHAT?? C'mon Okay fine! We start walking and walking and walking. Me: Honey I'm cold! Him: SHUSH! We're here start climbing. Start climbing what? That board there I'm right behind you Oh my gosh oh my gosh so scary Then he says "Stop...go sit on that board" When he was beside me I asked "Where's the treehouse" He said "Right here, these three boards one to sit, one to put your feet on, one to rest my rifle on!" I want to go home! SHUSH! Now wait and BE QUIET Brrrr.....click clickety click Shush what;s that noise? Mmmmyyy ttteeeetthhh ssso coldddd... Here drink this coffee and SHHH! Slowly the sun barely rises and I look down We are so high up it's shocking OH MY GOD Tommy Tommy look Shush up and listen I hear something crunch crunch before I knew it he whispered Cover your ears! ""KA-BOOMM!" Got it! Where? I don't see anything! But he said I hit it come on we have to find it. Getting down was one of the scariest things because I could see now. It took an hour to find the poor thing Tommy said you can't let it suffer now Do not look! We weren't far from the tent so he told me to bring some things then go back and don't look. I didn't. I was so tired. So cold and I hurt all over. It was awful. But we had enough meat to last all winter and being newlywed and very poor it sure helped. I never never never went hunting again. However I found I was a top-notch fisherman! fisherwoman whatever It didn't even require climbing trees or getting up at dawn my kind of sport and Tommy even cleaned the fish for me. I have to add back then Texas had a lottery of some kind like culling out too many deer in areas nearby and Tommy always won. We were too poor to pay for hunting on someone's land and this was something that was needed for the other deer to thrive. So it helped us and the deer. I'm sure things change over 50 years, there's probably even nicer deer blinds....
