I personally test every boat and bring you along with me. This is real and not scripted so you can form your own opinion of the boat and hopefully learn something along the way.
I am a retired boat salesman of 20 years who is creating real-world independent boat tests for you. I have personally sold and delivered over 450 power and sailing boats and have 30 years' experience with yacht racing, cruising sailing and power boats of all types. Over the last 20 years I've coached hundreds of new boat owners on the safe operation of their vessel and I'm a specialist in training people how to confidently park their new boat in a marina berth.
I'm currently a solo RU-vidr and do all the filming, drone flying, production and editing myself. I'm independent and do not accept payment for my videos.

What a beauty! Great tour and trial. Makes me think of the Audi R8 10 cylinder supercar, too. I know I'll be shot down, but i still think it could do with a funky lil T Top, similar batman style, for just a bit of sun protection... 👍
You really do live in a boating paradise, beautiful... Beats south coast UK 😢 Love to see a review of the Belize 66 Daybridge by Riviera. I think they're another level again?
Well I actually don't live in Australia anymore but yes it is a paradise for boating for sure! I'm talking with Riv about getting on a 66 Daybridge so we will attempt to make it happen as this does look like an exceptional boat! I suspect it's comparable to Sabre Yachts.
I asked apologize to the audience, when, Molly, the camera man turn on the master bed TV, pup up the convicted for 16 year in jail the rubbish bandit Brazilian president. Sorry about that. (20 min 26 sec)
@@BoatLife_DansBoatLife Sorry, Dan. Regarding bandits like him our country and people didn't deployment. Brazil should be amazing place to provide the word great things.
Yes my drones could only do 5kts speed into the 30kts wind we had that day so it wasn't possible for me to film much into the sea. But also wasn't the day to be going into it so a lot more comfortable runnning with it.
Dan your direct easy to understand explanations are well appreciated to us boat Aficionados. We currently own a Cruisers Yachts 420 Express and sell it in a heartbeat to purchase a Riv 4600 Platinum if our finances were in place. Thanks for taking your time and energy to produce all of the professional boat videos!
I really appreciate that! I know the Cruiser Yachts from my days as a broker. You will see a noticable upgrade in all areas onboard the Riv. Can recommend.
You good regarding Portuguese "Bom dia... " good morning... Dan, I followed a wile from Dallas TX, and was amazing that you visited my country Brazil. And check some Csheafer branch. You suppose visit and test other greats Brazilian branch's also. Great job.
Brazil was amazing! I could live there it is a beautiful country with great food! I am very interested to return and meet more Brazilian boat brands and dealers as this looks like a wonderful place to go boating. I have heard about an island chain just south of Rio which is apparently amazing. Thanks for the comment!
@@BoatLife_DansBoatLife The word didn't discovery the capacities of Brazil, yet. I usually discourse it with American people. Good, to know that you looking forward return to Brazil end explore other experiences regarding: culture, places, and boat companies.
@@leonardodearaujo1828 Brazil looks like a land of opportunity to me. I'm very interested to return and make more videos about the coastline and boating opportunities in Brazil. They have everything there and the food is fantastic.
The idea behind saxdor is really great, but that's about where it remains, an idea. Had a 320 GTO, very fun boat, but the build quality of everything is just terrible. Their warranty service is also terrible, just adding up to having a fun boat, but a pain to maintain. The result is that after 3 years you end up having a boat worth nearly half the initial price. And just remember, the more features, the more things that could break.... Hopefully the future holds something better
I’d love to know more about this so I can share with my PATREONS? I find all boats get warranty issues so hoping I can use Patreon to help educate buyers and factories on real life experiences with the aim of making it better..
This is easily one of the most instructive, enjoyable, and best-produced boat reviews among the dozens I've watched this year. I'm very pleased to have discovered your channel, Dan.
You can get fake teak. You can also get Ctek, or SeaTek as the call it for the boats. The fake teak is actually more expensive than the real stuff. However, if younget SeaTek or SeaDeck foam padding, you habe no maintenance and it lasts for about 5 years. These make great yacht tenders amd party boats. Especially taking guets out for fishing or in an inflatable and diving. I think they have a dive door.
This size/layout seems similar to the Fjord 41XP you reviewed 6 months ago (beware of the raccoons). Different engines but same net HP (3X4 vs 2X6). I prefer the wings and sun roof of the V44, but the extra cargo space and pilot visibility of the 41XP. In terms of quality and resale, I think Fjord wins (but I might be wrong). You actually got to move around and play with both boats. Which boat did you prefer?
Ok you are on point with your observations. The V44 is lacking the storage or the Fjord but she’s actually more spacious on deck. In terms of resale that will depend on the region. Europe is likely going to be better for Fjord. US and Aus the V44 should be fine. They are absolutely both worth spending time onboard as they offer a similar amount of features but do things slightly differently. I’m keeping my eye on Schaefer as they appear to be on the rise in terms of quality and style (in particular the V Series). If they release a V-50 something… then they will have a family of boats that’s quite competitive
So this is a shortened version of the 41 you reviewed in Miami, @13:05 whats with the hazardous metal thing on the bow seating, can see that being deleted with the side windows u mentioned. Dan, any chance you can review the Rio Daytona 50, gorgeous looking boat, it has outboards but are hidden under the sunbed, not seen any review of it yet.
So yes this is the entry level Fjord now and little sister to the 41 correct. I think you’re referring to the arm rest? Regarding Rio I have left them my business card at a boat show. What really helps is when you guys ask the factories to get their boats on my channel. A lot of factories who don’t know me are confusing me with TicTok and social media influencers which I’m not. When they understand what I’m doing the door opens to getting access to the boats and then I can make it happen.
Great tour Dan. I prefer the XL over the XP as there's a bathing platform to mount a tender onto. How do you launch/recover a tender from this fixed platform on the 39 XL? That amazing passarrelle is too low to help with that i think? So if on a mooring ball etc, how get ashore/out for the evening, when youre overnighting, weekending? Just a thought. Love Fjords. The 41 XL prob my fave due to extra cabin anyway 👍
Great point I should have addressed that in the video. Your only option for storing a tender onboard would be snap davits. However I would leave the tender on my mooring ball and use inflatable SUPs for going ashore as a tender would look strange in my opinion. The main market for these is in Europe where they all live in marinas which is why they haven’t factored in tender storage. On the bigger Fjords you get a garage for this
Great review Dan, how good is Mallorca? Love it. No fold down decks seems an oversight given the cheaper Scandi/Polish completion offers it as standard these days.
Call me old fashioned, and I am, but sorry Dan..... it's UGLY UGLY UGLY. Love your videos though so don't let the lack of design talent of these boat builders put you off. Rio make a nice looking boat or two..... Cheers S
@@BoatLife_DansBoatLife He's got a point though, try to get your hands on one of the smaller Rio models, those are darn good looking boats without neglecting practicality.
