I love how comedians like Ken deliver punch lines...saying it quickly, jumping to the first word or two of their next sentence, and THEN stopping to let the audience laugh.

Anyone who saw the late, great Ken Dodd perform live is privileged indeed. He was quite simply, the best stand up comedian Britain has ever produced. I was lucky enough to work with the great man on a big TV show many moons ago. An amazing talent, a warm and kind human being - and memories I will treasure 'til it's my turn to leave this planet. God bless him - what a magical legacy of laughter! Thanks for sharing this vintage performance. XXX

A great man, of who I wish I got to see live, but sadly now will never have the chance. Now that he has passed away, I wish him well on his journey.

To date Ken is still with us at 88 and still sending "the punters" home in the daylight with his happiness shows. Great to see such a rarity tho and well done for posting. Surpring really that there is actually very little (not counting his music CDs/records) of his comedy shows material available out there. Only 4 DVDs available-2audience,1live tour & 79 thames shows
