Most if not all of the high end knife manufacturers in the United states from Spyderco to Pro-tech to benchmade and microtech are having their boxes made in China so its trivial to scrutanize the boxes the clones are coming in because its entirely possible that they are just having the place that makes the actual boxes send them surplus or factory seconds to sell the clone knives in. I picked up a "Pro-Tech" TR3 clone and the handles are noticebly thinner than the real one, and there are no markings on my knife cause its from amazon. Which means it also came in a non descript box. The thing fires out frighteningly fast, ive almost dropped it a couple times cause I didnt have a good grip on the knife. Its sharp and seems like its holding the edge pretty well so decently heat treated. Ive had great expierence with Chinese knives made for the likes of Kershaw and CRKT so im not worried about the blade holding up. Its obviously not a real pro-tech but all I do is cut open food packages and break down boxes for recycling, Im not a tactical larper nor am I in a line of work that needs me to stab people because im not some freak. This thing is like the gas station knives we got as kids that looked like buck 110s but were made in Pakistan. Those worked just fine and looked pretty close to the real thing, just like these do. Gabe Newel of Steam once said "Piracy is an access problem" and thats how knock offs have always been. It used to be Ralph Lauren Polo shirts in the 80s, and bootleg VHS tapes in the 90s and designer hand bags and on and on and on. Counterfits are there for people who want something that looks nice but cant afford it. We know its not the real thing, but it fools 99% of people that see the items so thats good enough for most of us. I fully respect people that are fans of a brand or hobby and want the real deal and if you can buy those things and still put food on the table and pay your rent then by all means go for it. But for normal people trying to get by, these things are just fine for us.

I'm not going to waste my time with you again. Advertising a knife that is a clone is out of order. if they made some changes and did not use any of the names etc then it's just about OK but trying to pass it off nope it's wrong. You can get genuine powder metal knives for 60 £and they have been checked for the metal and the hardness. Get one of them instead of that crap. UNSUBSCRIBING
Just brought one off ebay, yes it's a cheap knife but mine the thumb stud fell off with a few openings playing around with it and the lock only just catches on the edge of the blade needs to be adjusted a little. As with a bit pressure on top of the blade the lock slips and the blade close's. I think if can fix that it will be ok. For the price $12 Aussie you get what your paying for. We pay from $20 to $50 for the M-tech pocket knife range and a Cold Steel or Schrade pocket knife start $50 and up in price. Buck 110 is around $130.
I love the Gerbers I've used, used to use Kershaws but those kept getting stolen lol... Though I do feel like these Bear Grylls ones appear a lot sloppier than those that I use.

Is there an easy to put back the cover on a handbrake on toledo tsi? Mines come up towards the button but dunno how to put back into place so doesn't move
@@Soft4Gamer oh OK no worries I did get the handbrake stuck to high up then pulled it down and it literally came off and I put back on but just goes as far as how high the button is 🙄 maybe will look to see if can buy one from somewhere if can find anywhere
@@TheMarkusw86it's going to be hard to find in and probably harder to replace. By the way is your car rusting too? Mine is mechanically pretty well set, just gotta replace the belts this year, but cars body in just the last few winter salt seasons is just getting eaten up by rust :(
@@Soft4Gamer I found one on ebay that's the same so may have a look to try only £15, no no rust as of yet did get it jet hosed underneath as was worried about the salt to tbh mines on about 44000 atm shame they stopped making more now
Any idea what size bearings they use? Im wondering if you can clean up the action by replacing them with some Skiff bearings or some random Aliexpress upgraded ones.
The inside of the bearing race is about 5,25mm(0.206in) and outside is about 9.69mm(0.381in) and it's 1.6mm(0.063in) wide. But I'm not sure if new bearings will help, the action is good but the detent is soft.
these are the pocket knives you use in a warehouse to cut plastic straps and things like that, these people saying they're fake blah blah LOL its' just a cheap knife from china, what do you expect for under $5?
I bought the same knife from Ali Express. No complaints at all, other than portions of the milling had some spots that were just a tad sharp when you ran your finger over them. Nothing that a few minutes with a file didn't fix, but that of course did take the paint off. But the fidget factor on this knife is phenomenal. My favorite clone by far.
It copies a good fidget knife so even if it's a bad clone knife it's fun to fidget. Good to hear that other mordax are better. Bought a couple of other SMKE's so more videos in the future.
