I am a designer + programmer from Malaysia who also happens to be color blind. I enjoys doodling, developing games and experimenting with a variety of art and design software in my spare time. In this channel, you can see some of my animations and paintings.

Thank you very much, it means a lot to me I have been trying to get this type of tutorial on RU-vid but always end up getting something that is not very understandable but you create really good stuff ❤
I was just today wondering if it was possible to use a normal map to make light hit different parts of a sprite differently, and here it is .. Combining this technique with prerendered isometric graphics and I feel one could make a pretty convincing environment with relatively low performance overhead compared to a full 3D environment from a non perspective view
I've only just found your channel but I'm interested in seeing where this goes. It's my dream to make a MOTHER-Like and I even have an idea I've been working on in a google doc for about 2 years now, and have been working with RPG Maker as prep. (horrible platform to do prep on but still)
thanks. Unfortunately, I didnt make much progress on this. But I know there are a few indie games that are mother/earthbound like (atleast on the sprite design).
I am not very good with color palette. But I usually do the cyan/blue in shadow and orange in highlight color grading. And Makoto Shinkai use the same color grading in his earlier work.
For animation, you can look at this tutorial ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-_huQzTPqSF4.html I also shared the brush for the grass in my discord channel
