As a musician, it’s definitely the way the new music has been edited. It’s much dryer and punchier. His vocals in their old work, was layered, with more reverb than nowadays. So it’s definitely an issue of production. Imo many of their songs would be incredibly hard if they had the same production as demonstrated here. This is incredibly well done
