Welcome to JB’s Toy Trunk. I am a big kid that wishes I could go back to the 70’s and 80’s. We had awesome cartoons, blockbuster movies, and yes…sweet TOYS! All were my passion, and I was lucky to have great parents to spoil me when they could with everything I wanted! After decades of only buying toys and spoiling my kids, I think it’s time for me to relive some RAD days of nostalgia!
I have a new passion in hunting for toys. I'm an out of box collector that loves to get figures in fun/dynamic poses. NOT a pro in photography, but I do enjoy capturing moments in scenes with my collection. All of this adds to the nostalgia and fond memories of growing up. I’m a Star Wars kid but still collected EVERYTHING! Decades later, NOTHING has changed! I focus on Star Wars, GI Joe, Masters Of The Universe, WWE, Marvel & DC. Don't be surprised if I grab more!
Join me on the journey of rebuilding my collection and let’s see what we can add to my Toy Trunk. Thanks for hanging and enjoy the ride!
Im a inbox collector, and I didn't know if I was an invester or collector, but ive come to terms that I collect but1day they will be sold,i still love finding my things in store and it still makes my adrenaline flow, but. Not taking them out of box can suck wen it's the perfect figure,I collect gj joe, starwars lego, marvel Legends, starwars black series , transformers,DC McFarland, other lego and a few other things😮with investments,i killed it in starwars lego,i must be very smart or lucky
Y not flatten them and fit all of them in a1ft stack? Im in box myself but some I have out and star wars.black series and marvel legends both fold down and makes it so much easier Nd it doesn't mess the box up
A much needed to see video... me and my wife are looking for a house and I have a mini collection going on myself and I have a mix of DC Marvel and Joe's.... the Marvel and DC boxes I'll probably keep, but as far as Joe's Boxes I'm probably going to end up trashing them
I definitely keep some of my boxes not for resale, I don't buy items to sell especially if I have a figure that comes with a lot of accessories I leave in the box so I won't lose them.
Yeah I did that for awhile, keeping accessories in box but even that got crazy lol. If I had more room without taking over the rest of the house I’d do it lol.
I used to be an in box collector but I switched to opening and displaying figures after the first 10 years of collecting because it saves so much space, there is after all a limit to what we can collect and space is valuable and like JB I have no intention of selling any of my stuff anyway, I used to have a garage full of boxed toys before I donated them all to charity and honestly it’s such a weight off not having to pay storage costs and not having this mountain of stuff wasted and not being enjoyed.

Bro, I’m doing that now. I use my free days (two days per week) for this and I’m in my THIRD WEEK. Nice to know I’m not alone.
My attic is filledddddd with a lot of empty toy boxes. Some boxes are just too nice to throw out and hard to sell off at the same time. The early Black Series boxes were ALL crap and easly ripped them up for trash!
Thanks for the great video. Man, do I wrestle with this one....Keep the box, store it, take up lots of space....or do I get rid of them, and have more room for my collection? I've starting cutting the bubbles off of my Vintage Collection & retro openers, and just keeping the card-backs. However, i still have way too much in storage totes. Time for some hard decisions.
Dude I was getting ready to say you could have donated those to a church or for under privileged children to have a Christmas! Bro I was getting a lil heated 😜 You got me!
Hahaha crazy! Bro i don’t take any of the figures out of the box, I’m saving my collection for my baby , maybe in 20 years from now we will be in a different era where all this will be gone and it might be worth it for my kid.
Kudos brother!! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 Thats my dilemma, I’m both in box & out box collector but i keep all the boxes, they take a lot of space yet i cant seem to let go….
Funny, I started to throw all my domestic packaging away, clipped the titles and art(💔), as I'm getting closer to having less boxes, it gets harder to throw away. So I repackaged some figures.
I don't have many figures, but the boxes DO take like a corner of wall😅. But maybe one day I will liberate my self from packages. Lol. I think I'm ok on space. 4 now. Lol. But if I needed space , I would get rid of most of the boxes.😊
You only live once , so definitely enjoy your figures. Out of the box .instead of them being locked up somewhere and forgotten .you can't fully appreciate them until they are out if the box I was also done with my boxes too so it was a good move . My friend 👍.
kinda silly you didn't just put that boxes in you attic. You might regret that when you get sick of the line and wanna off load it in a couple years! its your boxes to throw away though!
Except now your figs are worth far, far, less [No Boxes]. So when its time to sell, you're gonna get even less w/ out the boxes. If your gonna get rid of the box, get rid of the figure as well.
You hope they get away from haslab?!?!? What?!?! Haslabs are truly beautiful works of art man ….Especially by G.I. Joe classified team….. Lenny and his team are cranking out some of the best stuff ever😃👍
I kind of the boxes didn’t had great artwork, design, coloring stuff which that’s what makes us want to keep the box, yes they take a lot of space, i think that the companies if they didn’t made the boxes so glamorous they could reduce the price of the figure at least a couple of bucks, because that way they don’t have to pay toy photography, designer
I was going to do a video like this too. I wanted to keep the art from the windowless box and make a "collage picture" frame. After looking at them, I was never going to set time aside. hahahah so I decided to throw them away. It does feel so much better because I have more space.
