We are managed by Terry Simon and we are proud members of the EV2 Sheffield & Hallamshire County Senior League. During the 2022/23 season, Terry led the side to a second place finish, narrowly missing out on becoming champions during a very dramatic final round of fixtures.
Our Non League Football team are part of a community-led sports and social association based in Barnsley in the United Kingdom.
The area of Wombwell was the birthplace of Manchester United legend Mark Jones who was sadly killed in the 1958 Munich Air Disaster. He is buried in Wombwell cemetery.
Loved watching this, decent bloke Terry. All of times we dreaded playing Wombwell at cricket. Terry and Marcus were always a pleasure to have a pint with.
GREAT GUY IS TERRY, Great memories of his days at the SARACENS Wath on Dearne, We won the ROTHERHAM charity cup at MILLMOOR, Every league in the Rotherham association then every league in the Sheffield County Senior league, The county senior challenge cup. THE PREMIER COUNTY SENIOR league WAS THE ONE WE MISSED OUT ON as the team disbanded,

Honestly, we had a bad run before Craig got sacked but he never shouldve been- shouldve let him play the season out and Paul Cox coming in after definitely reinforced that point 😂, if it wasnt for Peter Crook making them mistakes I’d have carved him a statue outside myself 😂
I was a keeper for 15+ years, and even still every now and then play a 7's. and i technically jumped line every PK 🤣 You take a couple little gather steps forward just naturally cause we're taught to attack the ball. Its damn near impossible not to go a bit forward
