You can’t always follow what’s “proper/hygienic” especially if your patient is trying to bite/scratch your face off.

I don’t like it I don’t believe the cat doesn’t feel that he knows areas of the most sensitive places I’m all animals and I wouldn’t use a Vet I did that to my cat are there any circumstances

The say u should never cut a patch
@xszdffe
@xszdffe Год назад
??? Didn't you just watch this video??? The patch itself with the medicine isn't been cut at all, she had cut the back layer wich normally you throw away because there is no use for. The patch was to big/to much of a dose for this cat so half was covered using the back layer. So after 3 days the owner could remove the other piece so the other half of the patch can now deliver fentanyl again for the other 3 days. This is a 25mcg patch but the cat just needed a dose of 12.5mcg/72 hours.
@larryyelen8295

On what planet does this work? I have never been able to get a fentanyl patch to stick without additional adhesives, skin staples, etc.

Lidocaine is the name in the US. Not sure if it has a different branding in India (maybe lignocaine?)

Isn't it dangerous to put water into the lungs?
@tdkage
@tdkage 3 года назад
it's for the stomach
@BishoujoMegami
@BishoujoMegami 3 года назад
@@tdkage I know, but if they use water to check that they are in the stomach and not the lungs, and they happen to be in the lungs accidentlly, then that would be dangerous right?
@EL-xg4yq
@EL-xg4yq 3 года назад
@@BishoujoMegami They use sterile water to prevent infection. If 3mL gets inside, they body just reabsorbs it.
@miniaturehome
@miniaturehome Год назад
As a nurse, I was taught to inject air while listening to the stomach with a stethoscope to check placement. We also pulled back slightly on the syringe to see if we got stomach contents in the tube. We never injected fluid until after we checked placement, not even sterile water.
@Briannnauh
@Briannnauh Год назад
@@BishoujoMegami no because if tube had gone in to the trachea they would have noticed because the cat wouldn’t be able to breath and the tube goes all the way down to the stomach so that is really unlikely:)

@vettechhippie9373
@vettechhippie9373 5 месяцев назад
If the cat needed to be sedated they would have place a iv Catheter and administered propofol, if that's what the DVM ordered. My boss will sometimes have them come in on gabapentin. And worse case scenario, there's always kitty magic
