I have just rebuilt my 2003 RE5R05A transmission. After warm-up, there is engine flare-up (delay in shifting) from gear 3 to gear 4. No codes are present, and no other symptoms are observed. What should I check?
Saludos.
Good vid! Any other reasons for 2-3 shift flare? 07 Sierra just recently noticed every so often, im getting a 2-3 shift flare. Never did this before, and doesnt fully slip. What are the causes for this? Is it true, installing a corvette servo will most likely cure the 2-3 shift flare? Thank you
This seems like an in house production for Aamco's techs. They simply lock tights parts when worn and use it as a sealant? Thanks for the info, I will never take a vehicle there.
Not really. It's the only way to fix the input drum if it's leaking between the drum case and the shaft. They pretty much always leak there and you can't buy them new anymore so the threadlock method is about the only option.
@@davidvarney9254 You can use the RPO codes in the glove box, or the actual serial number of the trans on the tag on top of the unit. If you can't see it, the SN is engraved on the trans where it meets the pan (passenger side if I remember correctly).
Hello thanks for video. I got p1757 2008 g35x in limp mode. Removed vb no contamination or signs of metal conductor breakage. There is the front brake solenoid showing no ohms its done just the one solenoid p1757. So should i just buy this single solenoid for $80 or all the solenoids for $100 or complete vb replacement ?
Ya thats a good point it wasnt the solenoid .I fixed it the middle solenoid has a metal conductor that breaks easily they seem to be aware of the problem as they put an extra little rubber padding on it . I just put a few strands of wire over the break and dripped solder on either end of the wire strands to complete the circuit. I was driving it on roads that had huge snow ruts on the and was banging really hard on the undercarriage is what caused it im sure. That metal conductor is the first thing on the other side of the pan.
