I learned this years ago without knowing music theory, just muscle memory. Of course it's all forgotten now. I have given up with learning notation, just can get it. However I have played jazz for a few years and understand diatonic chord function, Im hoping the excellent reference to chords will now make this stick so I don't lose the hard work again!

Amazing! This is my wish for years, but as a pre-intermediate i think this is impossible! Now for the first time i see a light. I'm 14 years old as of now. The piano was a birthday gift for my 13th. I haven't touched my piano in 6 months or so because I've been so busy with school and all. But just hours ago I had this sudden calling and after so many months, my fingertips finally came in contact with the keys again. I started to play Fur Elise because it was the first piece I learned, with muscle memory- I played it perfectly. I was a fast learner and all, I never had a tutor, mostly I learn by myself and from these RU-vid videos. My spark for playing the piano is back and now that I've heard this piece, there's something in me that urges me to learn it. Liebestraum is such a gentle and extravagant piece, it has so many emotions. I may be a complete beginner but I know with practice, it would be a great honor to learn how to play this. I'm marking this as my first day. I vow to come back after many months saying that I've finally mastered it. I never break my vows/promises. I'm sure of this. Thank you for this tutorial, I'll be hearing your voice alongside with my notes every morning and night.
You skipped over the very last part a bit too quickly, but other than that this was a really good tutorial. I haven't played piano in years and this is by far the most complex piece I've been able to play.
