Sick dude, you got the workflow down! Would love to see a video where you explain your workflow and common complaints about the looper x and how you overcome them all and make it your own!
Would love a video on how you use the looper x workflow to work for you, a lot of people complaining about it, mainly the start stop all, which you seemed to have solved?
that's the main issue with this pedal there no start and stop for each track the way ed uses it he makes one beat loops so that it doesn't matter if he has stops because when he pauses the track and then resets the the song all the loops a one bar loops so it make it reset easy!!! but if the loop is longer and you can't stop individual tracks that's a problem that boss has the answer to with individual stop on each track!!!
@@Aptmusicuk Studio Rack - Octaver -12 semitones. I turn the compressor on a bit an add a little disortion. I also have the wet mix / dry mix and about 80/20 i think
Thanx Alix for taking the time to help I'm still struggling with loop and global settings if you could do short tutorial set up on that would be so helpful many thanx
First of all, WOW, you make all of that look so easy! As a beginner to looping I have the looper X and I'm trying it out. It will be a long time before I am anywhere close to your level, but I have to start somewhere. I'm interested and a little confused on the microphone part. I have been having trouble having my loops playing and then trying to sing over it (my wife sing over it, to be honest) and not have the mic pick up all the sounds coming out of the speakers into the mic she is singing into. I know you probably just explained that in this video, but forgive me for being a bit slow on understanding how that really works with the dry mic part. I have Studio One for a DAW, a mic, guitar, and keyboard. Do I need something else to be able to play loops live with singing, and not have the mic pick up all the music being looped? I hope that makes sense. Thanks again!
Great Demonstration! Now would you take that demonstration and give us a slow Mo voiceover to explain exactly what you’re doing, what’s going on and why? A big thank you!
If you a serious looper then 100% there’s cheaper alternatives to everything you can buy. This thing is built like a tank and Sheeran Loopers are really taking an interest in its users and listening so it’s only going to get better
Cool thanks . Yes I love looping but it can get verry messy with having so much equipment .but hopefully having this will eradicate all them problems as it looks like it does everything
I have the looper x but have issues with the quantization.. I assume yours is turned off? You also appear to be running sync mode correct? Anyway this is inspiring... obviously as I am commenting twice! 😀
Ha ha, no quantization is turned on I think but I'm using sync mode which is fine. usually sync mode should operate as you can do any multiple or equal division of your primary track. Thanks for the comment though and I'll double back on my settings and reply here if I'm wrong and have turned quantize off
Great! Thanks for the rundown. I love clean, self contained set ups like this. I have a question. For the wireless system where do you put the base unit receivers? Are those in a rack case?
@@alexbirtwell ohh! I like that idea. Any idea of the model number so I could search them? Is it just G4? I'm not sure I understand how that whole system works. The website says they are "Camera Mount Receivers"
Brilliant. I guess a FW update could implement the same functions on the X, but just knowing how creative you can be with the MC8 (and even their smaller controller, presumably) is fantastic. Thank you.
No mine is connected via usb to the looper x. Just use a computer browser to program the mc8. In order to setup the looper x to accept midi go to the global settings > midi and enable allow external control and also set a midi channel to listen to (mine is set to 2)
Ah great to hear this as i also just got my X and was wondering how to get around that with my Morningstar. Are you able to send me the commands that you used to programme the Morningstar. Really would appreciate it😊
Yeah it's in Sync mode. This means if you record 2 bars on your first track, each subsequent track can be made up as any division of that is 4 / 6 / 8 / 10 / 12. Multi mode (eds default) are all the same length
