Stay humble bro, I’ve been in your shoes once, going from being the best and top guy in my shop to going in a new company and starting from the bottom, just learn from everyone, even if you have been doing it that way prior. 👍🏻
😆I did that same shit when I was starting out. I had 2 10” subs, CB radio, radar detector and power inverter back in the late 90’s , I got called radar from MASH 😅
@kevinpearce3281 sorry I won’t show you how to do everything Kevin, I know you’ve got so many questions 😂 don’t watch my videos, I promise they’re not for you 😂
These units with ECM motors are pissing off a lot of people just to replace one, the motors are around thousand dollars + labor you might want to learn how to change them to a regular motor thats three hundred with a relay and capacitor
What the heck was all that plumbing stuff? I bought my house with an older Lennox Elite condenser and air handler with electric coil heat (have no gas available here) and it's at least 25 years old and still running well summer and winter. I clean the coils, check the capacitors and replace if needed, and blow out the swirl cage every year. It needed a relay replaced once for the coil heat and both 60 amp breakers replaced due to corrosion (it's in the garage), but I did that myself. Everything is working fine. I'm really wondering if a 25+ year old condenser would start with a soft start kit so I can run it with my generator. I saw your video with a new Goodman unit with a hard start pre-installed and I wonder if that says anything about the quality or lifespan of the compressor? Thanks for the videos, Dylan. 🙂
I can’t confirm but I have been told that the hard start on the rotary’s prolongs the life expectancy 🤷🏽♂️ I have NO CLUE what all that plumbing nonsense was, and I don’t even wanna know… they could just arrange it better next time I think 😂 thanks for watching bro! 🤙🏽
I’m glad you are happier, I left my old company after 10 years cause I couldn’t take it with the new manager no more. I was there thick and thin when they had only two techs, no manager, and now that they are making money again they decide to forget the little guy so I left.
My attic has blown-in fiberglass insulation on top of R-19 and the stuff goes everywhere when I get up there. If you cover yourself with talcum powder or baby powder before you get up there, it doesn't get into your pores and make you itchy, I work in shorts and a tank top and a mask up there now, and it never gets itchy. I have a bunch of antennas on my roof, and I'm up there frequently to adjust or install something, and this works out great for me. Try the talcum powder some time. It really helps keep those fibers out of your pores. Good for you going for a different company. And today's my birthday so thanks for the video. 😀
I stayed my first company for seven years when I left and went to high-rise with union I made three times the amount of money I was making before in Los Angeles with medical and a pension to go with it. I stayed with her for 15 years.
I feel you about feeling drained from the company. I had this new kid who is 29 start in our company. I’m just an apprentice installer/ tech just like him. But this kid tries managing me and is always super disrespectful. But he is quite around everyone else. When I told my manager and boss about it, they said I’m the problem. I have a new position at a new hvac company that I’m starting next week. Sadly tomorrow might be my last day. Gg homie, thanks for always making dope videos.
Tip from a wise old man, if you ever get a piece of metal in your eye don't rub it swipe a small magnetic across your eye real fast works everytime to remove the metal (do not hold over it. You can damage your eye if so ) i always had one of them small magnetic from a smoke detector to use it work great
The one we did 1st, it was customer requested so we just did it, the second one we did in this video, we only did it because they liked how the neighbors looked! 😂
Clear picture of what really happens on installs, now we deny delivery option from Supply house s, they drop, band, dent shit and won’t say it, we would at Daikin but short on equipment. Shawttttty keep doing you homie let’s link one week for cross work homie. I’m only 2hrs from u
Can we get a better look at the new company shirts? I’m kind of curious to see how they designed it and they have long sleeve ones to crawl in the attic for the fiberglass.
