We took almost identical trip, must have been following you lol! Try to take 8000-10000 mike trip each Sept-Oct, but would like to see more winter scenes, just a bit hesitant to drive since we are from southern Georgia. Another few interesting spots are Scenic Hwy 19 Hogsback and Devils Backbone near Escalante and Capulin volcano in northern New Mexico. Happy trails.
Awesome video! My boyfriend and me are also planning on doing a roadtrip in the south west in December but lately I've been quite worried about the weather.... It looks like you were very lucky and had lots of clear sky but I've read online that it can get really cold and icy (especially in the NPs like Grand Canyon, zion etc) and that therefore, some roads/hiking trails will be closed off... did you guys have any experiences with those kind of problems?
Thank you Xixi, it was pretty amazing trip. The weather was overall nice, you are right about the Grand Canyon, it was freezing cold there...but very special, I believe that each time of the year will be magical there. We ended up not going to Zion, because it was really cold, there were some crushes on the road, but we were fine...we had winter tires so no problem at all. Some places were closed but you can never see everything so you will be fine. I recommend buying National Park card which you can use to get to every NP you want. Prices differ from park to park but it usually is from 20 to 40. If you go in the winter, one huge advantage is that you won t be surrounded by millions of people:-) FOR SURE go to Yosemitte NP and Sequoia NP....probably two most amazing places in the winter:-) Have fun!
WOW Martin, WOW! This video just showed up because I'd been watching some other travel/adventure videos & all I have to say is DAMN. Excuse my language but I'm just that impressed. I just recently returned from a 5 week trip across Europe where I started filming & editing my own videos so I know how hard it is to produce high quality content.
