Hey! I'm Milly, an illustrator and small business owner from the UK. Most of the time, you will find me in my cosy, colourful home studio designing and creating cute, quirky items from stationery to apparel! On this channel you will find primarily studio vlogs, with some advice and tips and tricks along the way ✨
oh Millie i am so sorry you had a bad day! there could be so many reasons why i t didn't work. could be the coating isnt consistent on the mugs or there is inconsistent heat from the press. i would highly recommend getting an infrared thermometer gun ( you can find them on amz) and check the temp on several spots to make sure the heat is even. i hope this is helpful! you might want to press them 2x by turning them the opposite way so the two sides are equally pressed.🧡
Could it be a pressure issue with your dtf? The auto press doesn’t always have the best pressure and the tote bags are thin. If you get a second pressing mat it may help. X
At least you tried Milly, but please don't give up keep on trying and keep going. Maybe purchase a little bit more stock for allowing just in case you make mistakes but I would continue with the tote bags. I'm looking forward to seeing what happens when I do it and I will let you know. Secondly, it maybe what happened to Coconuttacha and she turned up the inks a little bit and it really made a difference so try that too but don't give up. Keep going you got this 😊👍
Your sweaters came out great I agree and that green looks good on you. Dellies Designs might be able to help you with the sublimation issues, if I recall correctly she was having the same issues and finally solved it.
Thank you so much! 😊 I’ve been sublimating mugs for a few months now and I hadn’t changed the settings for these mugs, so I’m starting to think it might have been a dodgy batch of mug blanks! But thank you so much, I love Dellie’s vlogs!! Thank you for watching 😊💞
I've had days like this as well. You feel like nothing goes right. I'm sure you will do well at your market and those shirts turned out fab! You got this!
So....not trying to be funny but this is why a lot of printing output has a "test run". If you just do one or two mugs in future you will find a problem before you lose the whole batch. Maybe warm a mug up first next time and see if that helps? Also is the tote bag material different from the usual? It looked sort of soft and shiny. My only experience is with the iron on transfers of my youth (I'm old) and if they didn't take you just left the iron on a bit longer until they did 😊
@@mrsonleemee I usually do a test run always, but I had SO much to try and get done this day that I just went ahead and did them all in one go as my mugs usually turn out ok (not always, but most of the time) 🤣 the tote bag material is labelled as exactly the same as usual so I’m really not sure… I did try pressing them again for longer but still no luck. This day was just against me clearly hahah! Thanks so much for watching 😊💞
Yes, everything was the same as normal! 🤔 Still very confused why they all came out so faded! I’ve not braved making any more since, but I’ll have a play around tomorrow and see if they come out any better… thanks so much for watching! 😊💞
For the dtf print issue I would have cut off the words and then manually placed them to make them closer to save the stars. lol I am the queen of readjusting a print by cutting the words and manually placing them after to use the space needed. Love all of the designs so much❤❤❤
@@printsbymilly I am the same way in the moment I do something a d then later I'm like ohhhhh I could have done this🤣🤣🤣 those of us who know know🤣 hope you have an amazing day💖
Where did you get those cute pink boxes you packed your cards being shipped in? How is your greeting card business now, a year after this video? I also love Canva myself.
hahaha omg I am so cringe this was so fun, and it was LOVELY to meet you I can't wait to meet up again soon for a good coffee and a chat heheh 😭😍 you are so so fricken kind, and a wonderful person I am so happy you found the event fun and helpful 😭, AND YOU BUSINESS STORY IS THE BEST heheh 🌷 YOU DA BESTTTTTT see you soooon! <3
Just come across your channel, absolutely love what you do. I wanted to print my Christmas cards with my designs but omg my printer hates me 🤦♀️ nothing I do will get the colours as they are on the screen or even close. You’ve mentioned on another video about out sourcing…I’m wondering if I should just give up wasting time, card and ink and just get a company to print them instead?!
I love your vlogs, Milly. You’re so soothing to watch and listen to ☺️ How exciting to meet Catherine! I love her too! She’s such an encouragement and joy to watch 🥰
I was going to go to the Bristol Roland event but I was too poorly (Chromic illness issues) I was invited by Roland as I have owned a Roland BN-20 for 5 or 6 years now and love it but they are huge! Loved the video as always 😍
Hi Milly. Did you fill out the form on Temu to take down your designs? Would really appreciate any advice as my Wife has just found one of her illustrations on there. Many thanks.
Sorry this happened. It happened to me with a few of my bestsellers of nursery wall art, even with watermarks. Instead they bought my digital download wall art from my Etsy store and used the files to create nursery wall art to sell on Temu. Another sad thing is that Temu is now selling more orders than my store. Very disheartening. I'm ready to give up.
