Look how the ball hit the ground and came out… it had back spin. The slow motion captured the ball just after it hit the ground so it appears that it was in the line. I still say it was a goal.
Goal all day! The a/r even told the center ref. but the center didn’t respect the call though the a/r had a better viewpoint. The aches and pains of youth soccer🤣
Right on, thanks!! I’m using a Sony 18-135 lens. I would like to find a better lens, but it’s hard to find one that goes as wide. My camera is a Sony A7 IV. I shoot in 4k 60 FPS and in S-Log 3. Then color grade in DaVinci Resolve. Shooting in S-Log 3 gives me a little more dynamic range as the bright sky is hard to deal with while getting good light on the players.
@FioriFilmsFootball I can't figure out the color grading in Da Vinci.. but also, I'm not shooting with Slog, that might be it also. Do you teach? I'd pay for a lesson of your process.
It was tricky to learn and I’m still learning but it’s all on RU-vid. Shooting in a flat profile like SLog is important, otherwise it starts to look funny. Unfortunately I have barely enough time to edit these videos let alone teach lol.
That stiff-arm to the nose @ 18:29 in the box should have been a PK/yellow card. These refs in youth soccer don’t have an easy job but blatant contact (accidental or not) to the face is clearly a foul and undermines the integrity of the game when not called for what it is. Let’s do better refs.
