Wynocha z mojego telefonu .
Joe was handed a Yamaha Fg160 (maybe 180) and asked to fill in while the stage was being set up. He said something like, "I can't play sitting down and there's no strap on this guitar." Somebody cut a piece of rope off a tarp and made a strap. My brother and I saw Joe at a festival about a decade ago and he played the whole set sitting down. He said, "I don't get invited to many folk festivals these days. They're probably afraid I'll do this . . .GIMME AN F!"
Fui
My Uncle was drafted into the Army and did two deployments to Vietnam. He never had much to say after that, just got really quiet, watching his friends torn to pieces did its damage. He passed away in 1998 from lung cancer from all the chemicals used during the war. RIP Uncle Roger.

I got my draft notice and had to take my physical at the Oakland CA. Induction center and was deemed fit for service but Nixon stopped the draft and I didn't have to go. I respect all who served! I didn't and don't respect the military industrial complex! GBY all my brothers and sisters! Jim
It disgusts me that there is no constituancy for peace in the United States today. There is not a single statesman in Congress and few anywhere else. Apathy and jingoism prevail.
All these people are in their 70s and 80s now. I know that's an obvious thing to say, but look at them all, radiating youth--the boomers were around 40% of the population then, and they were in their teenage years to early twenties. It was a very different world.
Tina knew how to work the stage. She knew how to work the mic. She knew how to work the audience. By 1988 she had almost 30 years of performing/ stage experience. She truly worked hard for her money all of those years. Many forget that her career did not start in 1984 with her Private Dancer album. She had been busting her ass, and paying her dues since 1960.
I was in the SF have area and couldn't go but when I was 15 in December of 69 I went to the free concert at Altamonte with the Stones headlining. I was way in the back and had a great time! Didn't know anything bad happened until I saw the Oakland Tribune news the next day. I later Saw the documentary movie of the concert 'Give me shelter and when it first came out it actually captured a Hells angel stabbing and killing a guy while Mick jagger watches the tape of it in horror. Don't know if that is still available but I actually wish I hadn't seen it. I didn't know it was in the film or I would not have watched it! It's One thing to know of a murder but quite an awful thing to actually see a real killing on film. So grateful when I was there I didn't know of anything bad! I saw the Jefferson Airplane whovI loved and I am so grateful and happy that Grace Slick whom I love is still doing well! I recently sent her an email through her fan club which is free and told her I love her (truth! Always have and always will! And I wished her well! So many great ones are gone now so we need to treasure those still here! Amen! Bless y'all!; Jim
@mrfairchap. Thank you for your service. None of us knew then how evil and corrupt our so-called leaders were. Like the Who song: We won't get fooled again!" GBY. So grateful you're still here! Amen!
