Alright. Just started this build and got to maps smooth enough. Swapped to animate weapons on a 4 link and its doing alright. But i hope to see one with permanent minnions instead. Having to stop and resummon all the time is a pain in the ass tbh. Dont mind the active playstyle with shouts tho.
@spontanikstv6105 I know! It was somewhat frustrating, but he was having a great time. As the video describes, he's not a gamer, and I actively chose not to help him unless he asked for help.
Also with noted gear, touch of death turns into a base and core skill so focusing on ranks to that makes this build go crazy, im not even 60% full build 230 doing 100m-30b casual
NOPE! I'm not even a fanboy of either game. But considering I can't be bothered to find any entertainment in D4 for more than 1, maybe 2, days.... And when new PoE leagues launch I'm usually hooked for at least a week.... sometimes 3-4+ That said, I have concerns about PoE2, so we will see!
How is the movement + casting done? Is it now WASD and aim with mouse/skill use with mouse? Because holding left click down to move and clicking right mouse button at the same time as pressure on the adjacent finger is known to lead to early onset carpel tunnel due to the muscle use. So it's gotta be WASD to move, right? Or it's gonna mess up some wrists down the road.
WASD is in the game, but it works with click to move as well; click one spot once to initiate movement, then click elsewhere with your skills and your character keeps walking in the original direction you started moving in while they do their skills.
I believe they changed crossbows since the Merc reveal. Only one kind of crossbow and the different shot types are their own skills. Grenade slot is the same. Edit: and the change to the health globe at 1:18:29 looks more like a visual bug with lighting, since they made lighting effects reflect off of the UI.
The trailer showed Marauder dual wielding and throwing axes with something similar to spectral throw. Guessing Berserker will remain on marauder and warrior will get jugg. The only duelist we've seen is also from the trailer clip and he had 2h sword with something similar to volcanic fissure. Templar was just basic attacking with flail lol. Much higher base crit for spells and some dex weapons, also haven't seen anyone mention the fact that crit damage in poe 2 appears to be +100% baseline vs the base 50% in poe 1. Increased crit chance might be a bit harder to get though. No power charge passive crit buff, but there may be some decent numbers from the weapon specific trees. I don't see us getting reliable 70%+ crit though, unless diamond flask is ported over later in the campaign and there's flask effect passives.
This video aged like a morning turd. Vessel of Hatred is dogwater. Anyone who supports Diablo is dogwater. Blizzard are dogwater. Dogwater is dogwater.
I really hope the massive and fast paced gameplay of poe 1 has a place in the end game for poe2. I really hate the idea of turning Poe into a souls like arpg and wish there was a more balanced between boss fights and a massive farm.
I'm worried this is going to be a situation where other ARPGs have been down with bosses with insane HP lifepools that take anywhere from 10-15 minutes to kill. Also the lack of customization worries me with PoE2 minions because it seems like they are barebones in general and will be similar to pure support, whereas the whole minions doing 99-100% of the damage will be gone and we'll be left with having to use active skills over and over on necro. I am not young anymore, I prefer a more lazy gameplay than an active.
Highly sceptical that POE 2 will have success because most people no matter how good it sounds don't have 3 K Hours to invest in a new Version. Needing to use 12 keys constantly is more then 4-6 in POE 1
You underestimate how people, who have fun at a game, are willing to spend time on it, even if they are not the best at it. And POE 2 looks like a lot of fun. Many things to discover. A new approach to the stale hack and slay formula. Also its a closed Early Access for people who are already invested and i think they will get as much feedback as they can, before the potential new players come in.
Comparing D4 to POE is like comparing frozen pizza to an authentic, freshly baked pizza. Everyone likes pizza, and even though a freshly baked one is better the vast majority of people will eat more frozen pizza, for various reasons. The same principle applies to these games; for better or worse.
I love playing minion but there is just to many thing i don't like to do like specter and the most horrible one is Animate Guardian its the worst minion and also why i never do end game content because of those 2 bad design.
The moment I saw you can "Catch" a minion I was sold. 100% Guarantee first character is going to be Necro. Also love the self spawn Start Music "Gotta Catch 'Em All"
Probably not very? I would imagine a vast majority of things focus instead on just increasing you maximum spirit rather than making minions reserve less, as it's a much simpler solution that achieves essentially the same thing. If anything, I'd expect something like that to be something that appears on an ascendancy or unique item. But even then, the way they've described ascendancies would make more sense for effects to be universal between all minions rather than just undead ones (with their philosophy of not making any of them tied to a specific weapon type, and undead minions are kinda like a type of minions), and at that point just increase spirit instead.
Animate Guardian should retain gear after dying. With permanent minions being auto-summoned in PoE 2, it makes sense that an Animate Guardian would also be auto-summoned. To prevent 'abuses' by non-minion players all they would need to do to balance it effectively is make the Spirit reservation a good trade off, and make the auto-resummon timer long enough that it still makes you want to keep it alive during mapping. Its that easy.
