Could you explain what you have there on the base? Hard to see the colors on from the angle. Looks like a small thin line hash mark on the sides of the hex.
@TawessBitsbox my first experience with the Timberwolf was MechAssault on the Xbox. The old one with the controllers too big for the hands of a seven-year-old. Still one of my favorite games of all time
What tickle's me the most about the whole Biden situation is... That no matter what he does now... the Democrats are stuck with him... Because they have no one else and they can not afford him going independent. Every bit of batshit crazy that will come... lands on their table.
I have a longer video going over the process here. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-hc6a96rXZU4.html but in short it was army green over a white base, then a layer of green ink and then working it back up with a green yellow mix that is threw together on the spot.
That is very true if one want a very bright and light red, But i have also found that both cream white colors and even browns and oranges can have very interesting effects on the red. Now that is even more apparent when using a airbrush. But yes, for bright colors you can never go wrong with a bright white.
Desert yellow from the armypainter fanatic range. You can get a very similar result by mixing leather brown and daemonic yellow from the warpaints range in a 50/50 mix
So little out there for paint reference of the Crescent Hawks. So thanks for this! One thing that would be really helpful is if you call out the exact paints you used to help us color scheme challenged out there. :)
That is a thing i have meant to get around to. But things always seems to come up. But since i have now switched to using mostly Army Painter Fanatics paints. It should be doable. I should really paint another one of these with the new paints.
With the Kickstarter Battletech: Mercenaries arriving soon, Im sure even more people will be searching out for paint scheme tips. :) I ended up choosing to go with Army Painter’s Speedpaint 2.0 Beowolf Blue, Citadel’s Basilicanum Grey and Bad Moon Yellow contrasts. But needed to use the Seraphim Sepia shade in the recesses of the Bad Moon Yellow areas for more depth.
So far I have been exclusively using Army Painter Speedpaint 2.0 and metallics, and I managed to get hold of some of the fanatics paints. The performance of all of them and the ease of painting has me sold. Saving for the bigger fanatic set and I’ve ordered the fanatics metallic set and washes set. I’ve personally found them easily as good as Pro Acrylics and GW (if not vastly superior in some colours)!
Yeah i really wanted the full set... but... it was pricey. So i had to go for the 50 paint set. I have a video coming up about the new yellow. It is really great.
Yes sort of, that one was primed with wraithbone from Citadel paints. So no actual undercoat primer as such but i have found that most of GW base paints and spray cans do the job just fine as long as you give the model a little bath first. Unless yu paint metal models... They always need to have a good undercoat primer.
Seeing some terrain-making might be nice. Some of your 2023 highlights were your Canopian Fusilier Crab, your personal Merc Forces BlackJack, and the Overwatch Wraith, all very nice work.
My thanks. Always good to get some feedback. Always hard to gauge that stuff by analytics alone. I have had more people being interested in terrain making so i´l go through my store of materials and put something nice together. Might start off with some hills or a building. Again thank you and i wish you have a good start to the new year.
To be fair i was holding off until i got the box because i really did not like the camo. But being able to study the box they came in and have a nice close up of the design was a great help. =) Best of luck to you with your painting.
Yeah.. It is always a fight with the space i have. But i am slowly approaching a more useful setup. Feel free to check the latest video for were we are right now.
Depends. I am considering using green stuff and just sculpt a set of speaker stacks. But for a quick and easy some sprues or glued together strips of plastic should do. :)
