Cheers for the video, btw, I had my volume at normal - and I couldn't hear the high pitch stuff, I turned it up and still found it hard to hear, If you hadn't gone over it I would have not known it was there:)
No way, just no way r we being taught by someone who has no idea about drum n bass. It’s years of being English and living on the streets that gives u the feeling, then u put that to sound. That’s drum n bass sir. U will never fully understand unless u r English. Oh and a good smoke is jungle.
Absolutely loving the tutorials. 2 minutes following step by step and my serum sounds the opposite. No clue what I'm messing up and it's terrorizing me hahaha
in future videos, can u please show the exact measurements of the knobs, like highlight them for a second when talking. i tried to gestimate where everything was and it ended up sounding completely different and not what i was looking for. thank u in advance
Similarly you can create an effect racks and use EQ to multiband it, that way you only use 1 VST instance, there is benefits and pitfalls to both methods though.
So serum totally does have the harmonic series wavetable, it's under digital and I was able to get similar results and lots of cool variations using it, I've been messing around with the scream filter and FM from B. so this wavetable is quickly becoming my favorite for oscillator B, and wouldn't have found it without this video. Serum also has Harmonic Morph and Harmonic Subtle.
I don't! I go from headphones to speakers and when I think my mix/master is ready I then test my master on various devices like my phone or my JBL bluetooth speaker(:
I would love to see you dissect the sound design of STVSH, his sound is unreal and he’s been exploding at a crazy rate. Specifically songs like expect and scorpion 👌🏻
Damn, dope track. As a from scratch designer, i love how milky and punchy your sounds are, i sturggle with that. Definitely subscribed. Also your use of alrernate parches for movement, i often get caught up trying to do everything in one.
Thank you for this video I like the approach of using variations on separate instances of serum I usually just automate outside of serum to achieve a variation. Only thing that I didn't understand is why use xfer OTT that's for those without Ableton as Ableton comes with OTT? For a suggestion I wouldn't mind seeing a video about how to make basses thick like Subtronics for example.
I just like a little better the sound of the Xfer OTT plugin instead of the stock Ableton preset but they both work. Also thanks for the suggestion!!(:
