Not on a google tv!!!! I returned a 65” Sony Bravia 9 to amazon!! $3000 piece of shit. Only a piece of shit ass hole with a paycheck in mind could recommend this awful piece of shit TV
Thanks for the excellent video. I have a pair of HiFiMan Deva Pro with BlueMini Bluetooth DAC. The Deva Pro is planar, and I have to agree with you on how they compare to anything else. Listening to your video, I hear a more natural voice, as well as hearing more nuances in the music. I purchased the Planar headphones for listening to Classical music, and they do not disappoint. That said, I also own a pair of Sony WH-1000XM5s and enjoy their great ANC and excellent sound quality. My niece also owns a pair of XM5s and was disappointed with their build quality. Unfortunately, her son sat on the headphones and one of the flimsy plastic joints that connect the headband to the earcup broke. I am more careful with my XM5s, but I also purchased a hard case for them for travel. So we're hoping that the XM6 has a more sturdy construction. Ethan
Hi Ethan! Thanks for the great comment. I completely agree. Planars take audio to a whole new level. And with the expanded audio range of the driver, I think we could see much better noise cancelling. I just want that next leap forward in sound quality. The xm4's and 5s sound good, but they just aren't quite where I want them to be. I guess we will see what Sony does with everything. I'm excited to see. Hopefully it's not just a small jump forward.
@@SpencersStuffTV I totally agree with you, I'm resisting to buy a new one for this reason, because I'm waiting for a premium version from Sony. They are the best on the market to deliver this.
@@AlsoKnownAsAndrew I think it made the voices and effects sound cleaner personally. Since this video, I've spaced them apart and that makes it sound much wider
My opinions are that the 75 and 85 inches are substantially better than the 65, although the 65 is still no slouch. Depending on use case, I think this TV really can scratch the itch of every consumer in some way. It's a jack of all trades tv. I actually wasn't able to buy it since I'm getting married next month and my money has been going toward that, but I've gotten a lot of hands on time at best buy. They have the a95l hanging below the Bravia 9, and I still think the Bravia 9 offers more to my taste
@@SpencersStuffTV Hey congrats on getting married! Thanks for answering so damn fast, that's not something I usually get from any youtuber lol. Do you know if the 65 inch has a worse panel or something? Or is it just the amount of dimming zones? I personally bought a 65inch without having ever looked at the 75/85 as there were no demos of them. But just to let you know that you are the one reviewer that truly sold me on the Bravia 9, when you said it had this "naturalness" when watching nature documentaries and I knew exactly what you meant. Although now I'm second guessing whether I should've gone for a A95L or even S95D lol. But ultimately don't have much regrets coz as you said it's a jack of all trades.
@@wavebend1474 I wouldn't second guess your purchase at all..it is just the amount of local dimming zones really. The 65 doesn't have as many as the largest sizes. The picture quality on the 65 is still stellar. My review was based off the 65 inch version, so if that blew me away when I saw it initially, I know it's an amazing tv
Great video! I feel the same as you. I'm tired of fuzzy looking, frame rate dropping games. It ruins my experience and i also play on a decent tv and sound bar set up with atmos. It's crazy so many people i see complain about ps5 performance in some game and here comes a ps5 pro to fix the issue but everyone hates it lol. Ok you keep playing on 45-60fps while i enjoy 60fps with sharper and better looking visuals. Hello to the lady at the end 👋🏽😃. Oh i also can't wait for GT7 4K 60 With Ray Tracing / 120fps mode stable. I play with a GT DD EXTREME set up.
@@Zeromobius19 I have the gt dd pro! Great wheel and extremely immersive. But yes, I agree completely. It's just stupid how much complaining people do! Who cares if I want a more powerful console. It's not a requirement to buy it. I remember the PS4 pro having the same issues and it was just ridiculous. Also my lovely lady says hi back 😁
@@TioCam cheers for the positive comment 😁 it's much appreciated. Sometimes we need some reviews to wind down and watch for the night that aren't over the top. Just working to get better video by video
@@SpencersStuffTV Exactly! perfect to just relax and watch while searching for new gaming accessories and electronics, or if you just want something chill on in the background 😮💨 Also what microphone do you use for these videos? Sounds great man
@@TioCam I'm happy you feel that way. I have been told my voice is calming. I want people to vibe with the reviews/ videos as much as possible And I actually just bought that mic. It's called the hollyland park m2. For the price you won't find much better. And they're TINY. The mix is the little circle on my shirt. I also eq'd it a bit to match my voice
@@itsbubbalips unfortunately I do not have that headphone to give an opinion. 🙃 I can say, as a brand, I have left turtle Beach since I haven't been impressed with their sound quality or build quality as of recent. If I didn't have the Maxwell's, I'd be running something from hyper x
@@SpencersStuffTV thank you for the reply! (: I haven’t had an issue with turtle beach until the stealth gen 2 max 700 and now I’m skeptical of buying the new stealth pro lol..
@@itsbubbalips I understand. Usually I give a company 1 or 2 chances then try something new if they don't impress. I think for the press, you should give the Maxwell's a try. If you hate them, just return them 😀
@@SpencersStuffTV thank you! I just might (: and yeah it was a nightmare… As a person who works in tech.. I can say The tech support was not helpful either… Turtle beach shipped me a new dongle which broke within 2 minutes of use. To be honest, I think their software downloaded a corrupted update and when it applied it broke.. I’m very pleased to hear that you can update the headphones from the app with the maxwells (:
@@itsbubbalips I'm so sorry to hear that. That's just poor quality in my opinion. The app makes everything so easy. And the sound quality for music and games really make these such a great all around headphone. If you do buy the Maxwell's, please let me know how you like them! I always love hearing people's opinions
planar magnetics on the XM6s would be huge, and should be able to improve the noise canceling even more how fast the drivers can react is very important for noise canceling
@@12Rosen precisely. I imagine the biggest thing they're worried about is durability at this point. But my gosh, I would be so happy to see planars on them xm6
@@SpencersStuffTV i heard the XM5s kinda sucked for durability and weren’t user serviceable. the XM4s were very user serviceable, i was able to fix a broken hinge by myself. hopefully that functionality comes back
@@12Rosen I really hope so. At the minimum these HAVE to fold. As long as people are careful, they will hold up. I've always had great luck with my headphones but I usually baby them
@@induction7895 no but I did hear it at best buy in the magnolia section. Sounds sensational for a tv. It won't beat a dedicated sound system, but you can definitely get clean, depth filled audio from the tv speakers. They aren't tinny at all
Are you sponsored in any way by sony lol. I have a 4 year old 75" 900h and I'm looking to get an new tv. I have a dark theatre room so I have been leaning towards the LG g4 83" but I wasn't sure if it was worth the 2" sacrifice from the Bravia 9 85". Your review is making me think I should stick with sony
@@zman-ru3yf no I am not. I have had Sony products since I was born. My parents always had sony tvs and cassette players, etc. they always lasted forever. My x900e and x930e are still in use today with no issues. I always had playstations too. I tout Sony because they are a reliable brand to me. I think besides my PS2 I had to replace, every Sony product I buy lasts me a LONG time. I pay the premium because I see them as premium As for your upgrade, you will get dimming in sports and games. Especially the more static elements on screen. The brightness in sdr will also be pretty unremarkable. But if you're only watching movies, the OLED is probably a great choice. You can't go wrong with any TV in that price range
@@HulkCinem4566 thank you! I have demoed the forte and cornwalls and you're correct. The midrange is the major difference when comparing them. For now I'm going to wait and switch to Jtr on my next upgrade. I heard them at MWave and they were incredible
@@SpencersStuffTV I have never heard of jtr but many people have listened to my system and they have said that they have never heard such a system in their life, if you want to hear very clean sounds I would say Cornwall and Forte
@@HulkCinem4566 I actually work for Klipsch so I have heard them 😁 but yeah Jtr is a step up over Klipsch. Better compression drivers, still horn driven. There forte and cornwalls are damn good though. You have a sensational system
I’m still rocking the xm3 which I purchased in 2018. I should buy xm6 when it comes out possibly next year. Sony also released a collab between xm5 and one piece few weeks ago so I doubt they will release xm6 this year too. They are charging the collab xm5 for 60000yen after all.
You have an ideal setting for games ie Dolby setting and then headphone setting.. I’ve settled on balanced movie in Dolby and then immersive on headphones.
Pretty much had it since its release. Overall sound is great for music listening as well. As I’m someone who plays FPS shooters I’ve definitely had better imaging headphones ie - Sennheiser 580’s with an amp/dac but because I’m on Xbox series x it’s so much easiar to use these then having a hundred wires/modmics etc. I think I will have these for a few years yet.. always on the look out for the next best thing but it’s gonna be a while until a product this good comes out.
@@nzarch9741 they're great at basically everything they do. Music movies games, I've been happy. Like you said, they don't image perfectly, but they're good enough to know where things are without too much of an issue. I think their sound is extremely immersive
Good video. If only they would come out with a wireless adapter for low latency with gaming. I'd want one. I need to get something by around Black Friday, but it looks like I'll be targeting the Turtle Beach Atlas Air (Open Back) or the Steelseries Nova Pro (closed back).
@@SpencersStuffTV Thanks. I know they are supposed to be great, but I'm very concerned about the weight and comfort is in my top 2 priorities :-). I guess I can try them to see how they feel on my head. Thank you.

@@SpencersStuffTV okay cuz I'm going through them trying to find it I just got the t2 and I'm trying to find those videos that you were using and that Earth was really cool looking
@@mrmurdock6994 ehhh not really. it's about a half step forward. It's definitely an improvement, but Sony wouldn't be selling the xm4's still if the xm5 was better in ever aspect
@@SpencersStuffTV The microphone audio and background noise reduction are vastly superior, offering much clearer sound. The flatter audio profile means more accurate sound reproduction, and the ANC excels, particularly in the higher frequencies. It’s widely considered the best headphone in its generation.
@@mrmurdock6994 yes the call quality is better. The sound quality on the xm4 can match the xm5 with eq adjustments. The anc is only superior when it's not using the auto nc optimizer. That was Sony's biggest miss on the xm4's besides them not folding. The xm5's are better than the 4s, but I'm not going to act like they took a big leap forward.
@@mrmurdock6994 yeah we will just have to see. I still think they have something special up there sleeves for the 6. Looking forward to an announcement
@@CoffeeFlight I would be okay with that if they had a premium version and a regular version. As long as the features on the premium version was worth the price
I liked the laid back review, but I would recommend maybe a bit of enthusiasm or perhaps a raise of tone a bit? It almost makes the review feel like it was done by Ben Stein from the red eyes commercial; otherwise keep up the good work!
@@ZeroAnkoku thank you for the feedback! I am not someone who has much inflection in my normal speaking voice so it feels extremely unnatural to me lol. To be honest, I like that you kept a genuine tone and it seems more of an honest review for me.. If you’re showing so much enthusiasm, it could seem as if it was a “sponsor paid” video and then could be bias
@@itsbubbalips hey thanks! Yeah I'm still relatively new to the actual production of these videos. I used to just make them with a phone and a crappy mic... I still have my XM2s and they're still holding up well. They sound good, but my XM4s sound way better. We'll need to see a significant upgrade in quality before I'd consider buying a new pair.
@@James16572 my xm4's battery life is the primary reason I am wanting to upgrade. With as much as I have used them and charged them, they don't hold a charge for nearly as long. I remember having the xm2s. Those things were great but they hurt my ears 😂
planar drivers can move very fast and as such be tuned to produce great sound yes, but its a double edged sword, they have been known to have bad THD aswell as shrill highs 6k-20khz. hopefully they do a good job and learn from hifiman's problems
@@SlipScope you're correct. I'm hoping with Sony's larger amounts of money, they'll be able to work with Audeze to make a solid driver for the xm6. I'm sure they're working on the reliability of the it. Planars can crinkle as well. Some people were complaining about that on the maxwells
planer magnetics with noise canceling should in theory should make a huge difference compared to dynamic drivers, since they can stop and start much faster.
@@jessewintermute8031 I hope so as well. They whole portability idea is what makes the xm series so intriguing. Not a fan of the route they went at all. I'm sure they received enough backlash to make a change
Went to Best Buy yesterday really set on getting the A95L... I ended up getting the 85" B9. It is surprisingly contrasty. It's like almost an OLED but like you said, with the much higher brightness.
@@clixt984 you may notice too, which no one says... Those OLED demos on the bravia 9 have more shadow detail than the OLED. It's weird. The oleds feel more "zoomed in." I hope you enjoy your new tv! It's a fantastic panel. And you won't have to deal with dimming
@@SpencersStuffTV Yep noticed that too. Speaking of noticing, the only time i did notice blooming was when I was at angle, on a very tough scene (subject with black background). Watching it dead center, about 9' away, I could not really see the blooming because the tv "softened" it. Another win i noticed was that, when i watching a GoT demo, there was clip with gold graphics and man, that thing looked like gold. The a95L was not. The G4 though was pretty dang good.
They're great for a small room. You will have plenty of detail for movies and tv shows. These produce great clarity even at low volume. Same with the 5000's.
@@SpencersStuffTV I want to buy 5000 because the driver is 5 inch, but the 6000 series also has a 6.5 inch woofer. I don't like harsh sounds, I like neutral ones. I'm afraid that the 6000 series will give more bass. I'm looking for focused sounds, I want to hear every detail and the conversations to be clear, because the klipsch Rp-504cii has a series port, the sounds are muffled, the sounds coming from the center are not clearly heard
@@leatijoseph828 the 5000 and 6000 both share the same tweeter and are plenty detailed in my opinion. For the size, the 5000 is a great option..I don't think you'll be disappointed
I still have the XM3's because the XM4 weren't a big enough upgrade and the XM5's are AWFUL - $500 AUD and you can't even fold them. I got the XM3's in December 2018 for Christmas - so almost 6 years and they are definitely needing an upgrade.
@@Disillusioned2022 I completely understand that. I had the xm3s before the xm4s. The only reason I moved to the 4s was because they allowed eq changes with LDAC. but my xm4's battery is not great. I look forward to the xm6's and I hope it's a big step forward

Hi! I personally think the xm4 is still my favorite due to its portability and sound quality. If you want the latest and greatest, the xm5 is still excellent.
This TV is amazing. Traded in the A95L due to the aggressive dimming for sports, and this strikes a perfect balance for me for OLED-like contrast, picture quality, and versatility. The viewing angles are much better than expected too. My only minus with this TV is the edging is a little black, but I have adjusted to it and dont notice it anymore. This is a 4.5/5 TV
@@Nathann556 great synopsis! There is no perfect TV out there... Even though some people act like there is. Many people are looking for different things when they have a tv. I agree, the contrast is more than good enough for a lot of people. And the sdr performance is great as well.
