Yall u are correct on everything exept about the crickets because when bearded dragons are young, they need LOTS of protein and crickets give off plenty of protein as of worms, well.... Worms dont give off as much protein and worms are slow moving and the bearded dragon is gonna wanna chase something so if yall want your bearded dragon to get much exercise than it needs to chase crickets plus bearded dragons cant live on worms. So give it fruit and greens to although, yall are right on everything else.
My beardie likes to lay in his water so i have to keep water. Also he likes to suck up water also. He has 1 he bathes in and 1 he slurps from. I also do spray his food and him. I guess it also depends on the beardie also
My pacific gopher nearly always defecates in his huge corner water dish. I actually like it cause its less I have to replace nasty soiled substrate. Just flush and soap with hot water scrub his water dish and all good. I only have 5 snakes (for now) so its easy to maintain cleanliness.
The only time my snake goes on my neck and on a walk with me is to go to the park a few blocks away for some supervised time in the sun and grass. I let them smell some new things that way once every few weeks or so and they seem to enjoy their few minutes in the sun. I love it when kids approach us when we’re out to ask questions. I used to be an educator at a Zoo so it’s always great to see the curiosity about reptiles 😊

We threatened to show Philbilly naked in all of our videos unless RU-vid promoted us. They promoted us like crazy. Noone wanted to see Philbilly in the buff...
Who lit the fuse on your tampon, Pops? You find out that Joe's not your baby? She knew you aint the baby's daddy. You were the cuck. That why you mad, bruh...
I didn't know I can give somehow orange to my bearded dragon from worms, I just know that I can't give that orange directly to my dragon cause I somewhere read it can kill them and that's for sure i didn't weant to risk it and harm him in any way
I love mt dragons. Knobie and spikie. Knobie is a year and 3months old. Spikie is 8 months. Knobie won't allow spikie in her tank 😢. When he gets a year older will I be able to put them together to mate?
I heard people say not to feed mealworms a lot because it spoils the bearded dragon into not wanting much else bug wise, plus the really high fat content.
What about auto-feeders for short vacations. I would be able to feed my dragon on day 1 and day 3 but would be relying on the auto-feeder for day 2 and while I am gone. How about herbs or plants for an adult beardie?
Just got my first bearded dragon and came across you guy's very informative ty..I had an iguana about 15 years back so I needed a refresher...I got mine from petsmart so idk if it's a male or female I was told kind of have to wait till it's a hit older is this true?
I need some advice for ours: she doesn’t like to eat her greens. She loves worms, crickets and roaches. We have tried several different types of greens and different things on top to encourage her but she just won’t eat them.
I just rescued a 3 year old male bearded dragon who came from a lady that told me that she never gave him any kind of vitamins and fed him frozen mixed vegetables. He didn’t have a uvb light at all. I suspect that he has mbd. His nails are so overgrown that his toes are curled under and sideways. I took him outside with me and we took a ride to the river to get a lot of natural sunlight. He barely moves. He practically just lays down all the time. He was also in a 30 gallon enclosure in which he could not move around in at all. I don’t have an extra enclosure big enough for him but I put him in a playpen made for babies and toddlers and hung a heat lamp in the corner of it with a couple pavers and a piece of ceramic tile. Is there anything I can do to get him up and moving around? He can use his limbs. I think he’s just used to not moving around so he just doesn’t. His femoral pores are clogged because he had nothing in his enclosure except a large food dish a very small water dish and reptile carpet (I removed right away)that was so gross and stunk up my entire house as soon as I brought the enclosure inside. He’s not eaten much but again he’s been eating frozen vegetables for 3 years. So it might take a bit for him to adjust to his new food.
I don’t have the double fixture or the light bulb for the whole cage for the uvb. I just have one single fixture for the basking light and one single fixture for the uvb light. So where would that go?
I always kept Dubia cockroaches as feeders for my beardie. Super easy to breed, keep, determine sex, etc. My beardie loved them and they come in many sizes as they grow. Super clean too as you didn't need any substrate or anything for them. Couple egg cartons and you were set.
I usually have to wake up at 5:00 a.m. to get ready for work so i prep before I leave and I feed it atleast 3 large dubia roaches when i get back around 5pm so I'm glad I'm on the right track. My question is 3 good enough for should I give it more?
I had a mealworm colony, they got mites , I had to dispose all the worms, I want to start another colony , how do you prevent them from getting the mites?
Both of my beardies eat mealworms and they both pooped them out. I've never had a problem with it. But they also get other insects to like crickets dubia but for small babies I don't feed no super worms. Until bigger and older. And use soldier fly larvae. And they do great
Sometimes it is easy for people to criticize whether you know a lot or a little. THIS is a truly informational site and I have learned so much from you both. Thank you very much. I buy about 75 adult crickets at a time and he will eat almost all of that in a week. He gets really excited when he knows I am dropping in adult crickets. Baby crickets die off too fast and he prefers adults anyways. Goes wild chasing them all down .
I saw a bearded dragon at the pet store I regularly go to for my leopard gecko which I absolutely fell in love with. I'm not too sure of the gender but I think it is a male and it was the biggest one in the enclosure they were housed in (there was only 1 other with him, and it wasn't much smaller but still noticeable enough). I do have a few questions about the information that was provided in this video, specifically about the D3 stuff you've mentioned: My beardie is still a baby (a month or two old), so he's a bit too small for me to feel comfortable taking him outside even just on my back porch because I think he's small enough to fit in the cracks in the wood. I have a calcium+D3 supplement that I use to dust the crickets for my leopard gecko and have been using that same supplement for the beardie's crickets as well. Now my question is, could/should I keep using that Calcium+D3 supplement until he's big enough for me to be comfortable bringing him outside for a bit?
we got two free dragons off craigslist so we still new at this but we where told to only feed our dragons 10 cricket each once a week that they should be getting more veg and greens then insects is this correct
There are no set numbers of crickets that a dragon should eat, and there are variable things to consider such as the dragons age, etc. I'd suggest watching our videos on feeding dragons at their different ages. Baby dragons need more protein that do adults.
I live in south africa and I'm getting a bearded dragon but I don't know if I should put a bowl of water in the tank bc the humidity is between 20 to 40 or 50 and how often should I feed them insects
