@@joshuamenendez7307 Organic was amazing! Hot humid and stank, but great music and vibes. It was a trip being there because it was probably 20 years ago I went to my last rave. Dan was awesome and played many of his classic tracks from the 90s. I get to see him again tomorrow in SF!

People don't even know how legend Ernie Munson is. When I hit the rave scene in San Fran in '90-'91, there were some greats in the mix already (Jeno, Garth, Martin, &tc), but Ernie was from another planet entirely. The acidheads loved him best and so did I. He was fearless and took risks no one else did, he is legend because he understood the lesson from Larry Levan - DYNAMICS. I don't know if I hallucinated it or not, but one night I saw him take two identical copies of an acapella, cue them up, with the 2nd copy a millisecond behind. They went in and out of phase for ten minutes, like the bit in the mix above, slathered in echo. No breakbeat, no beat at all - agonizing for the dancers waiting in suspense. He would push it past all reasonable limits, and then drop some insane 7/8 conga breakbeat at hyperdelic speed that would rearrange your DNA. I mean, damn. I once paid him double to drive down 50 miles south to introduce his magic out in Silicon Valley. We got some Stanford right wing kids in there, gave them an E and dropped some Munson knowledge on them. One of those dudes got in touch with me 20 years later and said, "Thanks for saving me from becoming a stockbroker or political analyst, my world changed that night." I said, '"Thanks, but that wasn't me, that was ...... DJ ERNIE MUNSON.
amazing story..I saw him a few times here in LA and he delivered every time ...This one party named FAMILY the vibes were super thick and it was all because of the samurai Ernie Munson.hey so werd on the street is he has been playing in Oakland..check out the status..Thankyou for tuning in!!!
Couldn't have said it better myself...Everytime I listen to a track that takes me back to that party or moment I feel lucky and know that its meant for us to have and keep close to us always !!!Thankyou for tuning in !!!!
That was a crazy beautiful night! Pretty sure Dan went on around midnight and there was a robot that popped out of the top of the stage. Pretty crazy for back then, good times..;)
It was a continuation of the first one at the grand olympic..The one at glam slam was dope too but I got kicked out for smoking hash while Barry Weaver was playing..I will pull the flyer and see what it says again... if need be I will correct info...thankyou for your input. I will post another mix from the night so we can revisit further !!
Love it! The visuals are super cool too. Don't know what kind of technology you're using to generate that (even the way I phrased that shows how little I know lol) but it looks dope!
My feelings exactly.!! We still have it so good by being able to re listen and go back in time thru the music !! Always the Music !!! Thankyou so much for tuning in...
