That young man circled around, I understand...and helped the ppl from capsized boat. I used to scuba dive in Monterey...until I encountered a fish 3x's my size coming around a bend ( it was harmless)...and a Morey eel poking out of a hole....its " their"...country underneath...yeah!

It's where the whale lives - it's his turf. Many of these boats there for entertainment and many of these nets left in the ocean have harmed whales. Many boats have harmed whales, so we don't know what bad experience this whale had with boats and people before to act up like this.
@whales_org
@whales_org 2 месяца назад
It's feeding season here in New England and the whale was only focused on its food source and not the boat. But you're right many whales have been harmed by accidental entanglements and vessel strikes.
@whales_org
@whales_org 2 месяца назад
6 simple steps to avoid accidental collisions: 1-See a spout, watch out! 2-Head on is wrong! 3-Lots of boats, then talk to folks! 4-Avoid trouble, steer clear of bubbles! 5-Don't chase, give the whales space! 6-Drop your sails when watching whales!

We would like to extend a special “THANK YOU” to the Center for Coastal Studies and their disentanglement team for acting so quickly in response to the whale, later identified as Diablo, who was found entangled with monofilament line. We’re grateful for their support in ensuring the well-being of whales and dolphins!
