Just go on their site. It's the full length guide rod for the flat recoil spring, so it's thinner than the regular one. Then the 10 round mag and a shok buff.
Carried the 226 then the 229 at work (federal law enforcement) Shot every month until my retirement. Put thousands thru the Sig with no issues. When the agency changed to Glock, I was to old to change, so they left my alone with my Sig, for the last of a year. Best guns ever.
Being a former 229 owner (hated the two tone, SS over black look) and sold it after getting the 2022. I made two upgrades, 1. the SS guide rod and 2. the short pull and adjustable trigger. The gun runs great and is my fav, no funky trigger safeties and a decocker that works flawlessly. Looking at the operatying mechanism, you can see the family resemblance to the the modular 320 system. Glad I got my gen. I 40 cal before it was discontinued.
It's an awesome classic. It just doesn't sit right in my hand no matter what I do, so I'm not as good with it as other guns. The P30/HK45 feel great though.
By the way I changed the guide rod for a metal, and again after 20,000 rounds no problems period, still the same original spring, that I will change it.
Great review, I have my 15 years ago and I put about 20,000 rounds or maybe more and had only one unable to eject due to limp wrist because that day I put 600 rounds and was tired. However after every range visit I lube it, grease it and clean surgically like a PHD.
I have this gun with the direct attach holosun that lines up with the grooves (HOLOSUN SCS PDP). Fantastic gun out of the box and love the stock trigger. I have put over 1500 rounds through mine and all I can say is for the money, best gun on the market.
I bought one last summer with the bare stainless slide, SigLites, (2) mags, case and papers for $425. I've since added a SMALL grip module and a Short Reach Trigger, plus (4) more mags. I prefer it over my P320X Compact.
For probably about 10 years the HK USP was my favorite hammer fired polymer frame pistol. Until I got my hands on an SP2022. I've always preferred the decocker arrangement on the P series plus the longer slide release for me, who doesn't have large hands, is much easier to access. I love my SP2022.
I'm a USP fan as well but the ergonomics are definitely a step up on the sp2022. And even though the trigger isn't anything special, I appreciate that it's metal and pretty smooth compared to some other options in a similar price range.
The protective properties may go deeper into the metal but I don't know that for certain. The worn areas definitely have the rough outer coating removed regardless.
Thank you for collecting your thoughts in a clear concise script. Can’t stand guys who try to wing it real time and ramble and repeat themselves. Nice review.
I hear you. I enjoy listening to longer videos in the background, but given the focused topic for this channel, I figured I should keep things very to the point. Thanks for watching!
You may be right. Now that I put the 2022, 2340 and 226 next to each other, the 2340 definitely seems to be the plastic-y one, with the 226 being the most obviously metal piece.
@@RoundCount-bs1ui I just checked all my SP2340 and SP2009 and they are metal too. Checked with a magnet. The difference I noticed is that the SP2009 and SP2340 decoker are made of two piece and the SP2022 is one solid piece.
I have several USP's, they are great pistols. I wish Hk would update the USP with a new rail and optics ready, and update the p30 with a decent trigger:) I am an Hk fanboy but they definitely could use some updates.
Really just depends on what features you want. At their core they're the same gun, unless you want the SAO Legion option. I didn't need an optics mount, and I don't like the Legion color. The grips are nice, but not worth the price increase to me.
I looked at this gun for the first time about four years ago and keep looking and looking. Lol. Now I am looking again and considering again to pick one up. Is it a solid heavy feel to it in your hand? Accurate shooter?
I'm not a huge fan of how Sig does their grips, but I'm used to it now and this gun is a joy to shoot. Plenty of weight, especially with a light added.
Sorry if the audio is a little subpar. Still working out compression between iMovie and YT. It sounds fine in editing, but it gets weird in the app on my iPad. Strangely, it’s fine on my Android phone. Hopefully it’s clear enough on your end.
