Thanks Kevin found this very good, ive a hole in the top of a cross pipe that has been blowing out hot gas at 75-80mph fire the hot gas right up and onto fuse box making bike cut out,,,,,,to get it off looks like I only need to move left side exhaust to get it,,,,gonna try a sleeve repair
Great question I don’t know the exact numbers for the exhaust gaskets diameter. Never had to measure it but here’s the part number: 5273296 That is for the chieftain. Side note! I was with 1/12 c-btry from 09-13 I was motor-t but got to work with the gun bunny’s a lot! Soooo Rah!
@@axlesamericanvtwin Hell yeah brother! I was in from '96-'05 with E 2/10 my first tour, Security Forces in Rota, Spain my 2nd Tour and finished out with India 3/11 for my last tour. Deployed to OIF I & II in 03 and 04 with them. I'll look up the part number and get the diameter. I'm sure I can find them at Autozone for less than what Indian charges for them. Just got the Bassani Xhaust True Dual for my 2019 Indian Chieftain Darkhorse. Set me back a little more than $1,500 bucks but I hear they sound awesome. Waiting for my Dynojet Pv4 to get it tuned up after the install. Semper Fi, killer. Thanks for the content.
What kind of tuning needs to be done since it now has full exhaust and air cleaner done? Also are we going to be able to hear what this bike sounds like in the future?
Indian gives out a calibration card with each upgrade so I will be putting in a stage 2 cam tune in it. In the future I will have video of it running! I’m still currently working on it along with other bikes so there will be many more videos in the near future
Hi Kevin, I notice you did not plug the hole in the frame that the original breather connected to. Do the new kits still come with a plug? My dealer put this plug in place a few years ago and I never understood it's purpose. Seems like all it does is block beneficial cooling air. Curious on your thoughts as I have been considering removing the plug. Thanks, Tom
I put the motorcycle in 6th gear and with the rear tire in the air I was pushing that tire in a forward direction! And on the sprockets you’ll see dots. The bigger sprocket dot will end up at the 6 o’clock position and the little sprocket at the 12. Tech tip: it’s much easier to bump the motor over if you remove the spark plugs
That’s what I’m thinking harley takes the spot light but Indian is getting big! So I’ll take full advantage of that! Harleys will eventually be in my videos
Thanks for making the effort to post IM tech tips on RU-vid. The only thing I would suggest is for the video guy to stand where he captures what you’re doing with your hands. We got a great shot of your shoulder when you were hooking up the pigtail.
I really appreciate the feedback! And it’s funny you said that a friend of mine said the same thing. Unfortunately I don’t have a camera guy I did this all by my lonesome! But I will be uploading a lot more videos and there’s going to be a learning curve for me! But please keep giving me insight in the future so I can make better videos! Thank you mark so much. Hope you enjoyed everything else atleast
