My biggest wish is to create a nice and safe community of gamers, where background, race, age, sexuality, politics etc. is irrelevant. We're here to enjoy games and that's all that matters!
Support from a community is gained AFTER making a good product, not before. If the game is not good, why would I, an average person trying to have fun playing videogames, play it?
Huge majority of the players of this genre will not play a P2W game like this. No relevant streamers will stream it after a week... No relevant content creator will be making videos for it. It will fall into irrelevancy just like it deserves for their monetization model.
Yeah I understand the criticism they have gotten. For now I will keep playing it, because I am having fun with it. If I ever get to a point, where I can tell my experience is being degraded because of the p2w, then I'm out as well 😄
Do y’all not get tired of being this negative all the time? It’s all I see in the community. Every video and every comment just non stop bashing. Go play another game if it’s that bad.
If you only see negativity, then the algorithm has determined that is all you want to see - on my channel, 99% of my payday 3 content is enjoying the game. So not really fair to throw me in that group imo. Also, I did in fact stop playing the game after this video 👍
When are these devs gonna understand that their playerbase aren't content creators with millions of dollars? The actual people playing their games are average working joes that can't be spending their hard earned money AND what little spare time they have on games like this. Do better.
anyone who feels like Starbreeze is listening to the fans or has ever listened to them is blinded by either optimism or their love for the franchise. the trend for Payday has as long as I can remember been do something stupid that the fans will complain about and then backtrack on it when the other shoe drops and people start ditching. I still remember when they added damage falloff to Payday 2 in a beta build and the feedback was largely negative and then they pushed it out into the next update anyway nerfing almost every weapon in the game largely because people were complaining about shotguns specifically being too easy to use. Almir has something of a track record of doing stuff or saying stuff that will fairly obviously annoy the community and only backtracking on that stance if there are real consequences as well as a habit of making promises that are literally outside his power to keep and thus do nothing but significantly hinder his own credibility. I didn't want to buy the game at launch or preorder it because Denovo, mandatory starbreeze account linking, and always online. they removed Denovo pre launch but a quick google search would tell you Denovo is something of a boogeyman among pc gamers these days so a smart developer that is actually listening to the fans would never even consider including it so yes I am still counting that against them. these days I'm unlikely to buy the game even if they somehow manage to fix the damn thing and add true offline because I trust Starbreeze to run a game about as much as I'd trust a tiger around a baby and Almir keeps digging the hole deeper with shit like this "call to action". asking me to support your game when it's bad because if enough people do it you'll have the money to make it good is an inherently abusive relationship to have with your playerbase and banks on me having far more trust in you than you deserve.
thats the best comment i ever saw but i still think Almir listen to us even by a little ok i get that he broke alot of promises but still if u compared starbreeze with other companies like activision they dont give a shit about the community and they dont communicate with their players but starbreeze communicate with their players and listen to the community and trying to fix the game and once a youtuber called therussianbadger asked for a comically large spoon and they actually add it but correct me if im wrong u seem like ur a very old player
@@aliyoussef4700 if your standard for a good company is that it is better than Activsion that's a ridiculously low standard. my standard for calling a company good is that I don't need to compare them to an objectively awful company to make them seem good and both starbreeze and Almir fall well short of that standard. I should be able to praise a company on it's own merits rather than being the lesser evil. saying "well at least they aren't activision" is like saying of a person "at least they didn't steal my kidney". russianbadger got his spoon sure but then you remember Generalmcbadass despite actually being associated with Payday specifically, unlike russianbadger who plays a lot of things on youtube, got abandoned and screwed over by starbreeze for seemingly no other reason than not being a bootlicker. sorry but I'm not giving anyone a pass just because they added a dead meme to a video game on community request. one kinda good does not negate many mistakes, missteps, and outright lies. I've been playing long enough to know Almir's word is literally valueless and will be contradicted at the first sign of trouble... that is if what he said was even something that was within his control this time and I am giving him 0 credit for communicating with players via livestream near exclusively rather than any text based format. makes tracking down specific statements a nightmare and is a blatant attempt at getting pushed in the youtube algorithm for essentially free advertising by making everyone have to watch the stream for news and generating artificial popularity. it's like the Randy Pitchford giving out golden keys on his personal twitter to artificially buff his follower count nonsense all over again.
imagine taking something out of context that bad yikes. for those of you that didnt watch the full video almir is saying that he knows things are bad but without support for the game it will having its funding cut and the project will die before they even have a chance at fixing the issues, which is true. happens to live service games all the time. it might not be the game you wanna play but neither was pd2 when it launched you new kids werent there for that and its ok. but shidding on someone asking for the help of his community is not. very off putting how you spin words op very off putting indeed.
Imagine very obviously not watching my whole video. I said multiple times in my video, that the statement is NOT incorrect. Yes, a live service game needs support to survive. I made this exact point in the video, so you're not enlightining anyone by stating this. Now, for the accusation of taking Almir out of context. I watched the livestream. I also checked a couple of minutes of the stream leading up to the statement and a couple of minutes after the statment. I didn't hear him say ANYTHING that changes my opinion and my initial reaction, which is this video. Nothing that directly clears up or explains what he actually meant. That only came later in multiple other videoes or streams. My video and reaction, is mixed by a feeling of anger but even more so disappointment. The intention of the statement is at worst, a disgusting attempt at manipulating fans to give you more money and at best, a way to say we're in trouble and need you. I don't actually believe the statement was made with ill intentions. But it doesn't matter, because the outcome is the same regardless. You will potentially guilt trip people into buying or playing your game, which btw. HAPPENED. I've seen people on reddit talk about how they are going to buy dlc to help Starbreeze after they heard the statement. This is exactly why I felt the meed to talk about this statement. In what world is this normal and okay business practise? Stop defending big game studios, we are the customers and we should critize when stupid things are done.

No I did not. You can hear my disappointment for sure, but I am not out of my mind angry. In the comment section, I've acknowledged and respected multiple points of people, that goes against my own and I've never attacked anyone and kept being professional in my responses. If people want to spend their money because they like the game and the current content, I have no issues with that. I even complimented the new DLC and said the price is fair in this video. If I had an agenda to prevent people from supporting StarBreeze, it would be extremely counter intuitive to make a comment that might make people buy the new DLC. And the notion, that I am doing this for money and gain, is so far from the truth. First of, I don't make ANYTHING from doing my content here on youtube. I do it because I love it and have a small but awesome community. I made this video, because I've been a Payday fan for over 10 years and seeing the potential of the franchise being jeopardized because of actions and statements like this, is disappointing. And that is imo. worth pointing out, criticizing and sharing with the people who watch my content. A lot of my content over the last year has been enjoying Payday 3, NOT "whining" or hating on it, so it's not like this is my typical Payday 3 content - which I also stated in the pinned comment in this comment section. Almir said legacy heists that are big will cost money, this means golden grin and world bank, a small price tag like $5 is reasonable for the development cost. of course small heists like 4 stores should be free.
You consider first world bank a big heist? You'd pay 5$ for a map that was FREE in the previous 2 games? You remind me of a pig eating from a trough (and the slop is starbreeze)

Last year before release of Payday 3 people were concerned about online only and Almir said that the servers will work and what happened nobody could play the game for days, no trust for that guy.
4:15 I have to strongly disagree with the statement that the dlc price was accurate this time bc the dlc should have been completely free as compensation for (I don’t want to call it launch) that abomination. But instead it’s the SECOND dlc for money they don’t even deserve. Payday 3 should’ve costed 10-max20€ when it came out to somehow justify that price tag
It's fair that you have a strong opinion on this. However, even though I'm critical of Starbreeze and Payday 3, I don't agree with you on this point. Keep in mind, that they have obligations towards players/customers who bought silver and gold editions of the game. It doesn't matter if the new DLC should have been free or not - it couldn't be. You can argue that more free content should have been released since launch and before this DLC, which I would concur with! But this DLC is fairly priced considering what content it includes, at least in my opinion. There will be more free content, I've heard a free map should be coming next month, so it's coming even though it's late.
Almir did not say to buy the dlc. Almir said "If you want the game to be around in a few years, support the game" and what almir means, is to BE A PART OF THE COMMUNITY. Write a negative review, make a video, make a reddit post, whatever. How Almir sees supporting is just giving feedback. He explains it in better in the red archer live video
I know that he explained and re-iterated his statement and that is obviously a good thing. Here's the thing though; Not everyone watches red archer live, not everyone watches Almir's private twitch stream, not everyone reads posts on reddit etc. The people who watched and heard him say the literal words "You cannot be a heister, if you're just going to wait 2 years and see if things are better" or "Buy our DLC" will take statements like that very literally - which is EXACTLY what happened my dude! That's where my disappointment stems from; They just released a DLC that was well received, they saw an increase in player numbers (even if not a huge amount) and got great feedback - why would you go and jeopardize that, by making a statement that so obviously would be perceived in a very negative light?
Will die? Bro it died on arrival, it is already dead. I don't consider less than a thousand people enough amount to make a game alive. Especially if you can't play it without lag outside of north america.
I understand your point of view totally. In my opinion, what makes a game "dead" is not the player count alone, it's also if the game is still in active development and is receiving new content/updates. I feel the same frustrations as you, but that doesn't mean that they don't have the possibility of making a comeback. It will of course require a lot of work and something truly spectacular to win over all the fans who were disappointed, but none the less it is still possible. I'm not holding my breath for it, but I would love for them to make it. For now, I will personally take a break from Payday 3 and enjoy other games - then we'll see if they make it or not😄
I hope this game interests enough people. The game definitely will be able to stand up for itself with given time. It only needs good player numbers. Almir isn't wrong at all with these statements. It's just that people want to pay and immediately feel comfortable with the purchase which isn't the case right now. I still play this game almost every day and still haven't bought a dlc
I also hope the game will succeed and I do believe they have what it takes to turn things around. But they're walking on thin ice, they need to be really careful about what they say and what they deliver, otherwise they're going to lose all regained trust! That's why I made the video and was so critical of the statement - it's disappointing and stupid to say something like that, when the player base can interpret it in a very bad way.
I say this and I stand by it with every fiber of my being: Fuck you Almir, fuck you overkill and fuck you starbreeze, how about you make a better fucking game if you want people to keep playing it instead of crying for their attention on Livestreams?
I get what Almir is saying but it's not our fault that the game is underdeveloped, we won't stay playing the same heists forever, lack of weapons, heists and all of those issues are the devs fault but guilt tripping us and blaming us for their issues certainly isn't gonna win over people and people sure as hell won't support starbreeze with statements like that for example it's been over a year we're only now just getting content. Starbreeze also need to understand that this is their final straw, Raid ww2 was a flop so was walking dead and now this game.

Most likely that is the case yeah. I never truly thought he was actively trying to "manipulate" the community, but as I said in the video, the statement in itself, regardless of intentions, can have that effect. But it's a good thing he decided to talk about it and rephrased it, I appreciate that!
Thing is, there was an investor meeting that showed some interesting stuff like how Payday 3 actually managed to make a profit! So making statements like that just feels... Odd, they got enough to recoup costs yet they pressure people to buy the DLC especially when the last DLC wasn't... All there. You can't expect people to immediately turn back once there's been DLC when the game is in such a skeletal state and is missing stuff like an actual honest to god OFFLINE mode.
Absolutely. If the game dies it's not because the players aren't playing. That's just the symptom. The players aren't playing because the game is lacking. And Almir putting pressure on the players is lowkey gaslighting them into thinking it's their fault the game is dying. It's like saying "If you don't want to die of cancer, don't get cancer". Of course! It's true! But what if, instead, you tell me how not to get cancer. Give the audience a reason to play the game instead of telling them to play the game!
