Some still have life in them and are called upon from time to time. Especially the bombers, and the transport models for the parts. The majority of the planes have reached their life expectancy.😢
Various treaties require the outdoor display of military equipment taken out of service, so the signaturers to a treaty can view the actual count of disarmed units taken out of service by their various satellitesduring scheduled fly overs.
30:09 such a beautiful plane. I worked on that very PV-2 back in the early 90’s. The museum gave us permission to take whatever we wanted from the inside so we could make ours back home complete. In return we gave them all the components they needed to make the outside complete. Side note, we didn’t have any Harpoon props, so those props are actually off a B-17 that were cut down and repainted. If anyone visits the museum you’ll notice that all the props are labeled with sequential numbers.
That 172M in the graveyard / boneyard is comparable to what the local flight school rents at KVUO... it's beautiful here, but the airplane rental situation in the area is about as disappointing as USA MAGA propaganda - unbelievable. thanks for sharing
That Stock music is atrocious.... That's an impressive collection of aircraft, not real clear on how it's millions wasted. You're probably trolling for views and comments. 🤣 The music is not enjoyable. Wtf are you thinking? Is this your band, or something? No offense. It's not bad music, I just didn't come for jam band music while looking at awesome planes.
Really stupid title! First 1/2 is what most refer to as a museum. OLD aircraft with a history that should not be forgotten. Second half is mostly outdated or used up airliners with a few that are in long term storage. If you don't know anything about what you are talking about you should NOT be posting videos about "it".
Great music. Way better than listening to some lame out of breath narration. Apparently some folks don't have a mute button. I work in the military industrial complex and there is certainly waste. The worst would have to be littoral combat vessels and v22 osprey.
Nothing wasted.. especially across the street at DMAFB where everything (95%) at PCAM comes from.. Got our tax payers worth out of everything there - we are still un-nuked.
Fantastic! I managed to annoy my wife throughout the whole thing by identifying (for half of it anyway) all the aircraft and adding my own narration. Brilliant! Thanks for sharing.

Wasted? That’s the museum. The military boneyard is across the road. It actually saves money by repurposing parts for aircraft still in service and even occasionally returning aircraft from storage to service.
It's a museum and long-term reserve storage in case of national emergency. I take it you haven't served. I probably flew on one or more of those aircraft paying the price for the freedom you live under. Kindly refrain from insulting these old, honored remains. It's like walking into a national cemetery and pissing on the graves.
