So beautiful! I am american russian, and I am trying to learn the language, but the russian style and these scarves are so beautiful, I think I will wear all winter! Thank you Elena!
Too much over-thinking about this... I have been putting my silks in a laundry delicates bags & throwing them in the washing machine with Woolite Dark laundry detergent for forever with no problems.
My hair is so slippery I wouldn't be qble to get the underhat or headband to stay in place. Very few clips actually stay where I put them. Spin pins do. Little spiral hairpins that go in and come out without damaging hair. I can sleep in them, too. Got my grand neices a good assortment and their mom's face lit up. She knew they wouldn't make Addie cry!
I have my mother's WWII US Navy scarf. It's huge and in pristine condition. I've never worn it because I can't get it to stay on my head. Even tried to turban it and it pops right off. Even the cotton bandanas pop off before too long.
I've been wearing headscarves for almost 15 years and this is the BEST video I've seen on how to make the scarf stay on! While I was familiar with the different techniques before, this one really talks about the pro's/con's of each and is definitely helpful. Thank you :-)
Thank you so much, Elena, for this and your other videos. In St. Petersburg a few years ago, I purchased a scarf on a tour. I only had a few minutes to choose one, and the store was mostly full of souvenir items. I didn’t even think about fakes because the scarves were all so beautiful. Mine doesn’t have the stamp, and I don’t know where the paper tags are, but the fringe spacing and the care tags look just like the ones you show. I think I paid $70 for it. It’s 125x125. One of my very favorite scarves. I always get compliments when I wear it. It’s a red and black paisley. Thanks so much for this information.
I attended a wedding yesterday (6/22) and had a navy blue pantsuit. My date wore a powder blue suit. So, I ordered a silk scarf with both colors in it so we could match. I used this video to tie the scarf using option 1. If I’d brought a bracelet with me, I would have used one of those options. Thank you for this video!
