I just booked this cruise & I will also bring my 2 young kids. I was thinking the pool deck and splash pad for the kids would be too cold but it looks like your boys are fine! Was it warm? What month did you sail also? Subscribed & will watch the rest of your alaska cruise :)
BIG thank you for supporting our channel, and I hope we can help you with your upcoming g trip. In Alaska, it is too cold, but when the sun is out, I think the kids can handle it. The water is heated, so it's not too bad when there is some sun 😊 We traveled during the first week of June this year..
We are doing the same exact excursion. I hope we can get to Nugget Falls! Was it the later arrival in Juneau or the hectic disembarkation that caused you to miss it?
If you can, do the Nugget Falls. We booked an excursion that has whale watching, so we were just not given enough time at Mendenhall Valley to explore (40 mins only). If you book an excursion just the Mendenhall Valley or you are doing it on your own, then you most likely will have more time to do it.
Hi! how exciting! The balcony door and the balcony itself at Norwegian Encore are pretty safe for the kids. The sliding door is heavy enough for my 2 little ones NOT to be able to open it themselves. Also, you do have to turn the door handle a certain way to open the door. The Balcony rails are tall enough to keep the kids safe. How young is/are your kid?
I sail out soon on this exact sailing. :) I keep hearing people complain about disembarkation off of NCL ships at ports. They do this all the time so they should be pros at it.
I agree! We booked our excursions through the cruise line thinking it will do us a favor to have a smoother disembarkation, but they gather you at the theater , give you a little briefing, and then sends you out with the rest of the people in the cruise trying to get off the ship. 2 little kids with us is brutal, I felt like there's a stampede 🤣 Hopefully you'll have a better experience. Otherwise, you will enjoy it! Have fun!
@@momsieandboysmore than likely I won’t be getting off any ports. I’ve sailed Alaska twice already on Disney and I just want to get out and explore a new ship. Haha plus pier 66 is a hop skip and a jump away from my house, easy on and off. You guys should try a Disney cruise, they have better disembarking set ups and are closer to the ports.
