Have you tried filmbox? I myself just did a deep dive into film emulation comparing dehancer and filmbox with 16mm footage I shot and even 65mm. Dehancer gets me there 85% I'd say, but needs so much system resources and tinkering. With filmbox I got my digital and analog footage to match 95% in way less time and with much smoother playback.
I used cineprint 16, and it looks nice in some of my footage, but I always had issues with skin colors, it looks kinda orange for me in some situations. It looks like the cineprint 35 doesn't have that
Everybody stuff looking the same. Cineprint 16, Cineprint 35, everybody throwing it on everything, can't tell the difference, it all looks the same lol.
i also used cineprint 16 and like you i never satisfied with the result, but cineprint 35 blew me away, great colors and super customizable, ill be wating for your short film to see it in action
