I've tested Airlift on my personal site with great results, but it didn't improve performance on a WooCommerce site. I plan to test it further on other WooCommerce sites. However, I'm uncertain about how Airlift integrates with WP Remote, which I use for 50 client sites. Since I already have a WP Remote account, I'd prefer not to create another one with Airlift, as I want to manage everything from a single dashboard. Currently, I must submit a support ticket to have WP Remote (or BlogVault) add Airlift to a specific site. Afterward, I can use Airlift within WP Remote, but I hope to be able to add and remove it myself in the future. Additionally, I can't find information about premium pricing or the benefits of upgrading. Do you have any details on this?
It basically broke my site, clicking on a link for it prompted the action of downloading the page instead, support were responsive for about a day then I heard nothing….
What if it breaks the site? Are the changes dynamic where disabling the plugin will undo any of the changes it has made? Can you disable certain optimizations only that might break the site or certain pages? Lots of times any delaying or mimicking breaks things. Use with caution
Hi! I'm from the AirLift team...here's the answers - 1. There's visual regression to help you see if anything has broken (thought that happens rarely) 2. Yes disabling the plugin will undo changes 3. Yes you can disable optimisations
Hi I'm from the AirLift team - sometimes AirLift can be prevented from correctly analysing the site. If you raise a ticket then our team can troubleshoot and get the score up
Johnathan- so this is entirely free? I don't understand the business model if they are paying for promos on a free product. If it is freemium, they don't appear to have pricing info on their site
From the Airlift developer (on Feb 28): "We intend to keep it free for vast majority of users." "We think that the best sites will pay a premium though."
Why do I not get Airlift - I get malcare-security. I have tried numerous times to download this plugin. I reported it - as did others - no response from the author of the plugin. I refuse to allow anyone to install a plugin on my website, especially when the download link doesn't work.
If this doesnt work, then you can use this code " // Step 1: Remove the slug from the URL function remove_cpt_slug($post_link, $post) { if ('lead-magnet' !== $post->post_type || 'publish' !== $post->post_status) { return $post_link; } return str_replace('/' . $post->post_type . '/', '/', $post_link); } add_filter('post_type_link', 'remove_cpt_slug', 10, 2); // Step 2: Modify the query to accommodate the new URL structure function parse_request_for_cpt($query) { if (!$query->is_main_query() || 2 !== count($query->query) || !isset($query->query['page'])) { return; } if (!empty($query->query['name'])) { $query->set('post_type', array('post', 'page', 'lead-magnet')); } } add_action('pre_get_posts', 'parse_request_for_cpt'); // Step 3: Flush rewrite rules (run this once) function flush_rewrite_rules_once() { if (get_option('my_plugin_rewrite_rules_flushed') != true) { flush_rewrite_rules(true); update_option('my_plugin_rewrite_rules_flushed', true); } } add_action('init', 'flush_rewrite_rules_once'); " Change the lead-magnet with yours.
If Wordpress want people to use more Guttenberg themes and their blocks instead of builders like Elementor they need to support custom fields on every block.
I want to know how if you are doing everything with these basic editors or still use some plugins . I am using generate press as described and trying to build a page specific anchor list or table of contents for long blog articles using the basic building tools.
I do use a few extra plugins from time to time for things like ToCs, but it’s also possible to DIY it with a little bit of JavaScript and not use a plugin
I’ve been meaning to implement Troy’s rules since he published them, so this is an awesome walk through thanks! Wouldn’t it be great if Cloudflare allowed you to add this once, then have it apply to all sites on your account!
Great resource! One question... in the Security > Bots section, there is a "Bot Fight Mode" . Will this conflict with any of the WAF custom rules that were shown in the video?
Thanks! very helpful video. I use Cloudways with Vulture and DO servers, would the last rule cause any issues or block Cloudways support from accessing for support purposes? Thanks!
All right, Johnathan... you got me into this mess ;-/, so... hope you can let me know what I can do about this. I followed your tutorial as best I could and my domain name opens up into a "This is your first post"... instead of opening up into a Home page I've created. What am I doing wrong. Thanks for introducing me to Blocks and once I get past this issue, I think I'm on my way. Appreciate your help or anyone else's help from this comment thread.
Go to Settings > Reading (or Appearance > Customize > Homepage Settings) and toggle between 'Your latest posts' and 'A static page'. This is basic WP functionality, not Gutenberg.
Great way of explaining. Can you make a video on explaining grid, column, container, rows, group. As these are confusing in Gutenberg. Say for example what's the difference between group, row, stack. Thanks
🎉 I won the Gift ❤ Sorry I was unable to join the livestream due to the Time Zone difference. But thanks for the useful gifts 🎁. Happy birthday day Pie Calendar from India 🇮🇳 34:29
I MISSED IT! NO!!! Congrats to the both of you. Pie Calendar is super easy to use and your support has been amazing too. Thanks for making such a great and affordable plugin.
