Impossible! That much talent packed in one relatively small man. Small in statue, but a giant in talent, charisma and charm. One of a kind, I doubt we'll ever see another like him.
God rest your soul Mr Davis 🖤🕊️👑🙏!!!! You did not end up like Mr Bojangles I know that for a fact you God will never would've let that in Jesus name 🙏 💯💯💯💯💯

Here I am after years of falling for this song finds this video tonight that fit the bill in context. Those that think like me fear just being another face..another Bojangles #dopeaf
David, for whatever reason, really reminds me of Sheev Palpatine in this. The lighting, the tone, his appearance, somehow it just makes me instantly think of Palpatine.
Sammy was one of the greatest performers of our time. Shout out also to Jerry Jeff Walker. This lyrics of this song so perfectly animate the story it's like watching a little one-act play.
Jerry Jeff Walker wrote the song, he had been in jail for professing his love to a girl, he just saw there, at The Café Dummond NOLA. While in jail he met a street street dancer(busker) a white guy ,as the jails were segregated, all street dancers were known as Bojangles then. JJW is an amazing singer song writer that ended up in Austin TX he is considered an outlaw country performer. Sadly we lost him 10/232020. Its Texas Outlaw country but well worth a listen. Try LA Freeway, London Homesick Blues, I feel like Hank Williams Tonight, fun sing alongs, Trashy Women and Up Against the Wall Redneck Mother, its a surprising rabbit hole that may be hard to get out of!
Definitely the best performer for this song, though I must say, many times prefer Neil Diamond's version because I feel it has just the perfect dose of happiness and hope for our beloved Mr Bojangles. There is a video of Sammy with Tom Jones enacting Mr Bojangles' life. Sadly it was removed from YT. I hope it wasn't because some idiot was offended by it. You can't remove Sammy's legacy.
jeff Walker wrote it but Sammy made it his! It took Sammy back to the struggles he saw us Blacks experience, the indignities, the inhumanities. Old Man River is another song, he personalized and told it like no other. Sammy didn't sing songs, he told them.
