I have the same compactor. Those look just like Costco bags. Problem I have, like you, is not having holes on side to lock onto those round things that keep the bag in place. Otherwise, bag slips off after it gets half way full.

Ive had my 2 Tascam 16-08's for about 10 years. I love them but you really have to have a screaming fast computer to handle many simultaneous inputs if recording all at once. That's not the Tascam's fault but I'm going to dedicate one of my Tascams to go directly to a 1/4 inch tape machine. So glad I held onto the 2nd Tascam as I'm moving away from DAW.

listen i use these pumps all the time for fire sprinkler systems...the weak point is the connecetion you dealling with here... use gray teflon tape for gas... its thicker and you dont need any dope... we have had no leaks since using this method... before we started using the gray teflon .... we had leaks. ALL THE TIME FROM THAT CONNECTION....
